Excellent Mediterranean/Greek food. I've found the Gyro to be some of the best in town and the service has always been solid. Also, very generous portions. It is an older building without central air so the parts of the restaurant can get hot. If it's a hot day, ask to sit next to the air conditioner.

Excellent Lebanese restaurant! I had the mazza plate (hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, dolmades—ask for tahini). For the main, I chose the moussaka—nothing like lasagna! This is the Lebanese version, not the Greek one, and it was fantastic. Special shout-out to the pita bread: forget what you know from the supermarket—this is on a whole different level.
Wonderful place for a leisurely meal by the river. Food and service was top notch. Fayza was fantastic, she really looked after us. Thank you!

I’ve been here multiple times but not a place I seek out. For some reason, it just…there’s something about it. Food is decent, service is decent (actually really liked our bartender Lily), and atmosphere is pretty good. But it’s pretty standard food and the options are not as appealing as I’d like. The prices are pretty drastic for what’s offered too. I understand that location and inflation go into it, but it just seems a little exorbitant.
Other than the bartender we had, it’s a tight squeeze with tables and whoever was dropping the food off to us kept putting the food only in front of me. Which is slightly annoying.
Anyway, it’s a solid choice for Mediterranean food, but I’d say it’s still an average place. No way is it five stars for me, and I can’t quantify it as 4 even if I individually rate things as 4 stars. Maybe eventually things will be 4 stars for me, but it’s not a place I gravitate to but it should be.

Amazing brunch. Food, service , and atmosphere all excellent. I had the gyro breakfast burrito and I have thought about how good it was everyday since. Will be back soon!
Chicken shawarma was pretty good, just a bit dry.

We had a party of 5. Our server was attentive, the owner was working the floor and proactively saw we needed more pita bread. He came by after our meal and asked how they did (he didn’t know we knew he was the owner). The lamb shanks are huge and the portions plentiful. A bacvala Sunday was delicious and the five of us shared it….still not eating it all. For this price level, well worth the money. We will be back.

Haley was very attentive and service was excellent. The food was amazing and we were able to try new beer from both Lebanon and Greece. Highly recommend this place for any occasion. The chilled sambuca...10/10. Will definitely be returning to Canal Bistro soon.

Such a treat! The atmosphere is so European, inside and out. The authentic Mediterranean menu is fun and delicious. Loved our Shwarma platter, creative cocktails and friendly service. Outdoor dining by the canal makes you feel you've been wisked away to another time and place. Very fun!

When we walked in, they told us to sit anywhere, food was just okay, moussaka was burnt on top. They never mentioned the birthday, which was tagged on the reservation.
This place rocks! Great food and great service.
Spicy fries and gyro. I will now be driving 30 minutes from Carmel just to eat here.
