Caplingers Fresh Catch Seafood Kitchen

I’ve been coming to this location for years.. it has never been a miss , always a hit, Saturday unfortunately that was not the case. Service was great, no issues there, as for the food… I’m not sure what it is , or was but the catfish was absolutely inedible! I asked for fried hard, (as I always do) and it was fried so hard the meat disappeared! Not okay! This place is WAY too expensive for the food to not be edible. I spent $36 dollars for one catfish meal, a single catfish filet (almost $8 for one piece btw!) and a large side of greens. As for the greens they were great, no problems there either. But I’m absolutely disappointed and upset that I spent as much as I did and ended up having to literally pick , at my food 🤦🏽‍♀️
(I could be wrong but I believe this place was bought out and has new owners, the food is just not the same as it was a year ago 😔)

Very nice place to order great tasting fish. There is outdoor seating benches. It is similar to a food truck but larger.

Seafood --fish, frog legs, shrimp, even smelts-- softly fried for me. The okra is a favorite because I can see actual okra not buried in breading. It's excellent,!

Very good food! Great selection! You get ALOT of food for the money! They also have cases of both fresh fish/seafood and frozen fish/seafood! They even have crawfish and alligator!!

HUSH PUPPIES & TARTAR SAUCE - this place is awesome!!!!

The staff was rude and they have ridiculous price hikes. I payed almost $30 for 1 meal when this meal was $16 and they told me it doesn't come with a drink. Their robbing people up there and I will never return.

Could not get through to order on the phone nor online. Drove there. Had to wait till others received their orders. We were the last order of the day, food was very overcooked. I will give them one more try, albeit at a different time of day. Hopefully it will be better quality.

Excellent food and staff in a clean and comfortable environment. Will definitely add to my favorites list and return.

All of the food is mid, nothing special I'd be just as satisfied eating an Arby's fish sandwich. Breading on the clams is too thick and overseasoned. Tartar sauce is repulsive miracle whip and sweet relish, nasty. After spending $80+ on 2 meals I guess I just expected more.
