I love going to the Carvel club it's like a second home I really try to make it every day I haven't had one bad experience there
I went Carvel club because I needed help. A gentleman named Steven gave me a nice note. I asked him to sponsor me. He said he could help.
2 texts and 2 calls. No response.
No longer going to Carvel. There's nothing worse than asking for help and being ignored.
Lots of Sober People

Awesome place for meeting
The Carvel Club is a key part of the recovery community in Indianapolis! Everyone I know in Indy that is in recovery has been to Carvel at least once, and it is often a go to for most people to attend meetings there at least once a week. They hold a minimum of 4 meetings there daily, up to a maximum of about 9 or 10 daily. They sell hot food like burgers and fries, as well as a large selection of drinks, candy and snacks. They also sell all common recovery books, along with some other less common recovery books as well. Prices for all items are reasonable. They do offer a paid membership to the club as well, like most recovery clubs do. However, it is free and open to anyone who would like to come check it out. Carvel is a great place to attend meetings, meet and fellowship with other positive people in recovery, do stepwork and several other recovery based activities. They provide a safe place for people in recovery to hang out, attend meetings, meet new people, work steps, do service work and learn how to live a happy life in recovery without the use of alcohol and drugs. The only negative thing I can say about the club is that there is an overwhelming number of AA meetings, with no NA meetings, and I believe only one HA meeting. That said, I am incredibly grateful for Carvel Club! It was the very first place I ever attended a meeting at when I first came to Indy in 2020, and has become a key part of my recovery ever since!!! If you are looking for a place that has a lot of meetings daily, with a large group of people with substantial amounts of sobriety, that has good food and all the recovery literature you need, come check out Carvel Club! You won't regret it!!
UNBELIEVABLE! My friend and I were running a couple minutes late and it was my very first meeting. The meeting was surprisingly full therefore we were asking the snack bar attendant some questions about pricing on the "big book" and other literature and she proceeded to come from behind the counter and look at us up and down as if we were going to steal something! When we asked her if that was in fact why she was so rude and searching us up and down, she admitted that in fact that was what she was assuming we were going to do was steal something and even went so far as to say "well you are sweating!?" As if that meant something negative in her mind. Even mentioned that she was "clean", whatever that had to do with anything, as we were also but to say the least, I will NEVER go back to that meeting place and I encourage others not to as well. It is NOT a safe, welcoming space.
Great place for fellowship and recovery
Most judgmental AA meeting I've ever been to. Some new guy shared his experience with his HP using a Bible verse and the room erupted with displeasure. Made him feel like an outcast instead of providing him acceptance and inclusion. I'll avoid this place FNO.
