Considering the ongoing lack of willing workers that are available our experience was just fine. They were overwhelmed by the New Years Eve crowd mainly because of several groups camping out at their tables. Our server (bartender), Stephanie was awesome and cared about making sure we were happy.

Appalling in all aspects! One of the worst culinary experience of my life, and I've been to a few restaurants in my lifetime. We booked a reservation for New Year's eve dinner to find out the Castleton location was closing and the whole night went downhill from there. Indecent wait, subpar food, pathetic service. Avoid at all costs the Pendleton location. Despicable all around!!!

This was our first visit. We were greeted by the hostess and told we had to wait a few minutes because people were lingering at their tables. I believe we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. During that 5 minutes a LOT of people began arriving and filled up the entry way. Heard lots of complaining about not being seated at reservation times. Also had 2 different couples come out of the small room to the left of reception complaining about how cold the room was. We were ultimately seated in that room and could confirm that every time the restaurant front door opened it shot a burst of cold air into that room. It was cold however we overlooked it. One couple got up and walked out. Our server, Katja, as well as the food, were the definite shining stars of our experience. We will try Catello's again. Just maybe not on New Year's Eve again.

We arrived and sat for 20+ minutes and never had a server come to the table. We were sat by the door that opened and closed all the time. We went to the front desk and requested reseating as I was very cold and just got over a virus. They refused to reseat us. When we decided to just leave there were 20 people out front with reservations and waiting to be seated...10 more people outside. The woman at front desk was very rude and told people if they were not happy they could just leave. They had clearly overbooked the restaurant and had insufficient wait staff that were totally overwhelmed. When we checked in there was a very unfriendly sign that said a party of 2 should not stay more that 45 minutes. Of course, we never saw a wait staff after 20 minutes when we were there. This is our first visit to this restaurant in about 1 year. We will not be back!

staff were totally overwhelmed by the number of guests, totally overbooked, seated in a very noisy room, no service, not even water for 20 min, then told by hostess that if we didn't like it we should leave, which is what we did and will not go back

We dined at Catello's Italian Art Cuisine Indianapolis location with two other couples on New Year's Eve (12/31/22). All of the avaiable tables were filled. Much to our surprise we learned that they were closing the Indianapolis location the following day. To their credit, the quality of the food was still very good and the staff, who were largely faced with losing their jobs at the close of the evening, were friendly and very attentive. The food service was slow but that was entirely attributable to being understandably understaffed. Accordingly, we highly recommend that you try their Pendleton, Indiana location, which we intend to do!

Angela was taking names of people who had reservations at the entrance. We, along with several other parties, had reservations at 7:45 and evidently the earlier seated parties were still lingering at their tables causing a large crowd at the entrance waiting to get in. Angela got frustrated and became very condescending with all of us, saying that if we don't like it we can leave and go down the street! She was very rude and projected a very bad image for your restaurant. Your espresso/coffee machine was broken and we were unable to get coffee after our meal - not good for New Year's Eve.

Shrimp scampi was bland. Three of the clams or mussels in the mixed seafood pasta were not open. Never should have been served. The tomatoes on Caprese salad lacked flavor. Hardly any basil on the salad. I loved the atmosphere of main dining room but food was not impressive especially given the price point.

New Year's Eve dinner for two. Service (Brie), food, and ambiance very nice. Only negative was being told after we were seated our table was good for 1 hour due to holiday and other reservations. Didn't feel rushed but aware of time and checked my watch a couple of times. A big part of timing is restaurant service. Will return.

Just really disappointed. As of late December 2022, the setting and prices at Catello's don't match the experience or expectations. It's a beautiful place fitting of a nice meal. But there was no host at the door (we waited in the lobby for 5+ minutes before finding someone behind the bar) and our server lacked the training required of an upscale restaurant. There was no attempt to welcome our party or guide through the menu. A young child was allowed to run around the restaurant, jumping in booths and stopping at the three occupied tables. It was frustrating to have heard high praise, make a reservation for a special holiday meal a month-plus in advance and then get a dining experience easily outclassed by any chain restaurant in Indy. Silver lining: The food was decent and arrived quickly. But that doesn't warrant coming back.

First visit, seated against a half wall. Bar TV had TMZ on. It was in my field of view. :( The lamb was blend, or undercooked. It didn't taste like lamb. No one asked if we liked the food. The other two dishes were great, but not reason enough to come back.

Rebecca was attentive and pleasant. The service was excellent and timely. The food was delicious - fresh and well seasoned. Catello is a welcoming and gracious host. Have dined there several times and once again enjoyed introducing friends to my favorite restaurant. The food is authentic and truly art cuisine.

Bread - Excellent Salads - Excellent Raviolli Pomodoro - Excellent Lasagna - so/so, tasted like it was cooked much earlier in the day and just warmed up. Some of the pasta was hard. Evening special dish was OK

Always a great place to be for outstanding Italian food, quiet atmosphere and great service. It's also a great place for lunch or a lunch meeting. The space is very accommodating and private, booths are large and the food choice, excellent.

This place is GREAT. Live jazz on Saturday's and the seafood is supper! Really good very very good. The chicken not so much but these things happen. Also as usual; I asked for help with selecting a bottle of wine. WOW it was so good I shared it with some new friends!
