I live in the neighborhood, and have known Ms. B. for years. So, I was told from a neighborhood friend that Central Seafoods last day in business was 05/27/22(last Friday). Not sure if it's true, I will find out soon, and update.
I bought food for my mother, she loves their shrimp. The lady at the counter never spoke but the lady that was cooking was very friendly. I waited way over 30 minutes from the time I called in my order. I will call in my order a lot earlier if I decide to go back.
I really wanted to support this business, especially it being a local black-owned business. I was hungry and wanted to give them a try.However, my experience there the other day, disappointed me. I ordered a catfish dinner, which somehow took 40+ minutes to get to me, despite the place not being busy at all. Also, I ended up getting charged an extra $5 somehow (probably by mistake).When I ate the actual food, the catfish was a bit...basic...in flavor, and the fries were dry and...
