This used to be my favorite place. Ever since they started also serving sushi, I don’t understand why, EVERYTHING has gone down hill. My dish always used to be the Pad Kra Prow with juicy delicious chicken and spiced just how I love it. Now it looks like they might be using ground chicken but I’m not sure it’s even actual chicken. Spring rolls now have seaweed in them and everything is so salty it’s inedible. I’m purely gutted that my favorite Thai place is no more.

Oh man. I don’t know how this place is not on the top of everyone’s “best Thai food places of Indy” list. If you like spicy, get Thai hot, you will have just enough burn to make it supremely enjoyable and it doesn’t take away from the amazing flavor of everything else. Top notch!

Took me a second to get used to their new menu but I've never had anything questionable at this restaurant. Excellent service and excellent food Don't forget to get the Thai tea

We ordered a very simple carryout and picked it up. We Got home and one of the soups lid was completely loose and it dumped all in the bottom of the bag. We ordered two orders of salad roll one had the peanut sauce and the other had nothing we also ordered dumplings And they weren’t even in the bag. We called to complain about the order and the recipient was rude and stated to bring it back so he could see the soup that had dumped all in the bottom of the bag. I said, can you not just trust us? I’m not bringing liquid soup in the bottom of the bag back in. He said then I cannot give you another order of soup or dumpling till I see the order myself. I then called back to Discuss the matter and he would not answer the phone (hung up on us) x3,until my friend called from a different line and he answered the phone. Very disappointed with the whole experience the food was mediocre and I will never go there again.

NEVER GOING AGAIN

I have the worst experience ever. I love Thai food and have been going to this restaurant for years. The Hospitality, With one server in particular Jonny, who is almost always there, Has always been Lackluster, Borderline Rude, and I’ve wondered if there is an underlying Racist Bone. However, I’ve looked over it but Decided not to dine in anymore.

I Just stopped by today to order carry out And he had the audacity to accuse me for Ordering Two orders of fried rice two weeks ago And not paying. I was completely thrown off because First of all, it certainly wasn’t me, Secondly, I would never do such a thing. Lastly, I had already vowed to never dine in there again because of the service. He was adamant about the situation. He did not ask me about it. He told me that it was me.

I was completely flabbergasted to be accused of something that is certainly not true and this is a place that I frequent so I do Care about my integrity wherever I go. I proceeded to tell him that it definitely was not me and asked him if he has the name of who it was. He said “oh I thought that was you”. I told him that he should never have accuse me without even asking any questions and that it’s very offensive to be accused of something that you did not do, especially when you have no sound evidence based on why you thought it was me other than you thought that I look like the person.

Based on his gestures and body language, It’s safe to assume that he realized he had picked the wrong person and acknowledge that I’m always patronizing and have for years. However, he never apologized even after me stating how offended I was that he wrongly accused me. So this was my final straw and the order that I had today was absolutely horrible AND CARELESSLY THROWN TOGETHER. I’m assuming that IT was intentional as he mentioned that the cook acknowledged that I was also supposedly the person who had skipped paying.

I regret not stopping a while back when I first started to feel uncomfortable with the service and the treatment as well as a few misses with the dish I always get.

Had the Mango Curry and spicy tuna roll. It was wonderful.

Overall experience was poor. The seafood and noodles consisted of watery, bland broth with cayenne pepper, some bok choy and a few pieces of tough, overcooked seafood. The duck and noodles had the same tasteless broth but with mediocre sliced duck. The server was friendly but didn't check on us. The decor is unattractive. There are better Thai restaurants in the area. Will not be back.

Sadly, our food items were greatly disappointing, especially the Salad Rolls, which were a tasteless blend of only lettuce and carrot peelings.The tempura veggies were soggy. The Drunken Noodles were dry. My Garlic Lovers entree was tasty, but the beef was chewy and the sauce was thin. Overall, we've found that this restaurant is very inconsistent. Thai food lovers should expect more - and look elsewhere.

Chiang Mai Thai has absolutely horrible customer service and when called out on misinformation given to me about a meal, I was to blame and then the blonde haired man lied and went on to scream across the restaurant and refused to give me a number to call management or the owners- all this was done in front of other patrons- I have dined in before and the same waiter was horrible, he is inattentive and there aren’t usually that many people in the restaurant for him to not give proper service, that is why I started - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

food so good it shut up the yappers— my friend and i can’t stop dreaming about the curry we ate last night. we got the mango curry and duck curry, plus fried tofu appetizer. it was all so so good. the curry was hot, creamy, and flavorful. a lot of other thai restaurants don’t serve mango curry, so i love that this is on the menu. the fried tofu was crispy and a good appetizer. the service was solid and friendly, and the atmosphere was dim and low-key, good for a date night or chill dinner.
