Laid back atmosphere with quality craft beer

This is my first visit to Indianapolis and Chilly Water was my first meal here. Everything was great! Highly recommend the chicken nachos (caution they are spicy) and the Dr Feel Good hazy IPA.

This place rules; great beer and even better food. Do it.

Grrrr got here an hour and half before closing on Sunday and got our beer order in to then just be told the kitchen closed.

Came here with my parents who gave high praise to the beer. In fact their one complaint was that they couldn't get it in California lol. Food was good, with some of the best fried mushrooms I've ever had

We really used to love this place, but the service has become downright bad. The bartenders are always quite unwelcoming. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor to even acknowledge your presence. Wait staff is a little clueless and very hard to get noticed.. And the kitchen guy was more interested in what was on his phone than making our food. We waited about 20 minutes for a very simple order. We figured they forgot about our order, since the table that came in 10 minutes after us already got their food. So, since our server never came by to check on us, we had to get up from our table to ask the kitchen what was going on- no one else was around to ask and the kitchen guy was right there so we thought it would be logical to ask the kitchen guy. So we very very politely asked the kitchen staff about our food. The kitchen guy would not even look at us since he was on his phone but got irritated with us and can you believe we actually got SCOLDED by the bartender for asking the kitchen about our food!!! No one else was around to ask because everyone else was ignoring us!- who else should we have asked! What the bartender should have done would be to APOLOGIZE for the long wait and to APOLOGIZE that we had to come inside to check on the food ourselves. Just an apology to take responsibility for the terrible and inconsiderate service would have saved the day. Mistakes like the slow food service can be overlooked by good customer service and a good wait staff can turn the situation around. This bartender made it worse by coming to our table and scolding us-we couldn't believe it. Chilly Water for us is now canceled. Instead of recommending this place, I will now tell everyone I know about the terrible experience we had and to avoid it. Go to the Dugout instead where you'll get fast friendly service and excellent food. (in response to owner: this happened on Sunday, October 20th around 6/7pm. Not sure how else to contact you so leaving it here)

My favorite beer was definitely Dr. Feel Good. All 3 I tried was amazing though. The Jive turkey sandwich was absolutely delicious. The staff was very attentive and Friendly. 10/10.

Highly recommend for a snack and a beer. The food was too good and we stuffed ourselves on perfectly golden fried cheese curds, tacos and crispy brussel sprouts. We also enjoyed 2 beers made on site and bought a cool T-shirt. Great service too.

Spent three days in Indianapolis, this was one of the best stops. The food was great, fast service, nice people and the Mexican lager they make was one of the best microbrew lagers I’ve ever had. The cheese curds were also amazing. Nice vibe

I for some reason have never ventured out to Chilly Water despite being downtown all the time. I finally managed to visit recently.

We came on a Friday at around 6:30 PM and they were decently busy but we got a table outside. Our waitress was super friendly and gave some good menu recommendations.

I got the Chicken Quesadilla as my entree and also shared some loaded fries. Overall, I was impressed! The quesadilla was really good, and the fries were super tasty and loaded to perfection.

Overall, if you’re walking around Fletcher Place looking for a cool brewery, give Chilly Water a shot! I’ll definitely be back.

Cool spot, good food, large drink selection. I ordered the "Ring of Fire" (pressed sandwich) which is salami, ham, capicola, chipotle aioli, provolone cheese and banana peppers. So good! If you're a blood orange fan like myself, I suggest the Blood on the Tracks. Service was amazing! Plenty of seating inside and out, and I loved seeing all the dogs with their humans on the patio :)

Went in on 7/23 around 5:30 pm. It was our first time, had no clue what the process was. Sit there for 15 mins as the bartender looked at us and served up the regulars on the bar stools. No welcome to Chilly Waters, can I get you a beer, the food offering is in the other part of the building. When we finally asked he treated us like we were stupid in answering. Lot's of options out there just not Chilly Waters for us again.
