The buffet was decent. The selection was a little Limited and the food was okay, not great but not terrible.

I needed some comfort food tonight, and this seemed like the perfect solution! (Take out). I kept it simple with the butter chicken, rice, garlic naan, and paneer pakora, and everything was excellent. The butter chicken had a very large portion that will feed me for at least three meals, and the rice was sticky and well seasoned. I wouldn't say that the paneer pakora held up to the trauma of door dash particularly well, but it was still really good despite its lack of crispiness. And who doesn't love some soft garlic naan? I would definitely like to try this place in person, I know they have a buffet. It was a tiny bit pricey, but the portion size seems to offset that appropriately. If you're looking for good Indian food on the south side, this is a really solid option.

The staff at this place are amazing. They are always friendly and very personable. They have a small buffet on the weekends for brunch. They have the greatest options even if you're not there for the buffet.Vegetarian options: There are multiple options that do not contain meat.

Honestly, this has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. I was recommended to try this place by someone at work, and this place has never disappointed me. The staff is always really nice and friendly. The place itself is surprisingly nice inside for the location, and it almost feels like you're in a fancy restaurant when you dine in on a normal day. Their buffet is pretty solid during the lunch hours on Friday and Saturday, and is a nice way to try out some of their food, especially if you're new to Indian food like I was at the time. I've tried a handful of other Indian restaurants near me since I started going here, but they really just don't come close. I've dined in multiple times, gotten take-out a few times, and gotten food delivered through Doordash more times than I can count. This place is amazing, and I'm always sad to see how few people are there any time I go. Clay Oven deserves some attention, so I hope one day they can see the amount of business they've earned. I can't wait to go back!

Great service ?? After we got seated, they offered us a starter, I forget what it's called, but it was really good. The waiter was super nice and would check in on us every once in a while to make sure that we were doing okay. The food was amazing ?I'll highly recommend mango Lassi. It's sooooo good? Everything there tasted amazing, so, knock yourself out

I used to eat at Clay Oven 13-14 years ago and it was good. Went there last month and found they had moved to a different location in the same strip mall. Food was so-so. Went last Sunday and had a very bad time.Weekend lunch buffet is 11 - 3. I got there just before 2; but they were out of Tandoori chicken. There was Gulab Jamun , but by the time I went to get dessert it was gone. There were broken bits of papad. They were out of all breads. Nan and bhatura were replenished. I took some goat curry and there was no meat in it. A spinach paneer seemed to have been reheated several times, it was black. When I was about to finish, the owner came to take drink orders and I asked for chai. The guy was trying to give me "tea to go" and shoo me out. From other comments I see that they are not this bad always. At $21 it was simply not worth it.This is a totally new management. The good reviews might be from earlier.

Absolutely delicious Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. For whatever reason this place was dead on a Saturday night, but the staff was friendly, the spices were on point, and the garlic Naan (along with everything else) was perfect. Will be visiting again soon.
