I ordered the vegan breakfast sandwich which is egg, cheese, sausage (all vegan), and pepper jelly on focaccia. Very filling—saving half for later. They also had a vegan donut, cookie, and muffin top.

Not only is their drip coffee dialed in to be absolutely delicious, their vegan food options are interesting and delightful. I just had the best cake donut of my life here. Light and fluffy texture unlike anything I've ever had before. And a tajin corn cookie??? What a unique treat.

Yummy sandwich that is listed as vegetarian, but can be made vegan. I love the golden milk and the baked goods are delicious and made in house.

I got the vegan breakfast sandwich on the focaccia bread and it was so so good. I also got the pistachio latte with oat milk and it was very smooth and yummy! The vibes are very cool with a free art gallery upstairs.

I walked a mile to try this place and it did not disappoint! The Lavender Latte was PERFECTION! Not too sweet, not too bitter! And so beautiful! The vegan breakfast sandwich was delish too! I got the jalapeno jelly on the side, in case it was too spicy, which it was:/. Recommend getting the apple butter on the side and dipping sandwich in it..don’t knock it till you try it! Only disappointment was they are in the middle of changing their recipe for the vegan sausage gravy, which shouldn’t be that hard. Hopefully it’s on the menu soon again!!:)

Just do what everyone is telling you to do and get the damn vegan biscuit sandwich. It’s so bomb. You won’t regret it. (Just don’t wait too long in the morning/day or they might be sold out and then you’ll really miss out.)

I loved their vegan breakfast sandwich!! The biscuit was to die for. Probably the best biscuit I’ve had since going vegan. The different flavors in the sandwich really complemented each other. I wasn’t expecting to like jalapeño jelly and is wasn’t too spicy for me! I have a low spice tolerance level. Their vegan chocolate chip cookie and golden milk latte were great too! Make sure you specify you want oat/non-dairy milk if you order a drink. I almost accidentally ended up with whole milk by forgetting to specify.

This place goes above and beyond in every single detail.

Espresso: 10/10, great coffee, always perfectly extracted. They measure the doses for every shot. 2018+ La Marzocco KB90

Lattes: homemade cocktail style recipes that are incredibly artisan and cohesive in taste. Lovely for folks who don’t even like sweet drinks! Such a unique experience. Milk is 100% always steamed perfectly all the times I’ve been here (beautiful structured nanofoam, lasts for the whole drink, and award winning latte art). Highly recommend a hot latte experience!!

Baristas: personable and cool as hell. These folks are incredibly efficient while being community focused. Never seen such fast mfs behind an espresso machine. Very friendly, and still so focused and keen on such tiny but important details. Most importantly: they ask if you want your experience to-stay or to-go.

This is a REAL coffee experience for coffee lovers

A Surreal Review: The Time-Traveling Coffee Shop
I stumbled upon this quaint little cafe, a relic of German history, seemingly frozen in time. The baristas, however, were more interested in the digital realm than the analog world, their eyes glued to screens rather than the patrons. The floor, a canvas of crumbs and forgotten dreams, whispered tales of past patrons.
As for the latte, it was a beautiful illusion, a porcelain cup filled with the promise of warmth and caffeine. Yet, the coffee itself was a phantom, a mere whisper of flavor, overshadowed by a citrusy undercurrent that was entirely unexpected.
The bacon sandwich, though satisfying, was a stark reminder of the cafe's duality. While the taste was commendable, the ingredients felt like a compromise, a nod to affordability that left a bitter aftertaste. Twelve dollars for what felt like an eight-dollar sandwich was a surreal experience, a cosmic joke played on the unsuspecting diner.
Unless a drastic price adjustment occurs, I fear this time-traveling cafe will soon be a forgotten relic, a ghost haunting the streets of the past.

Good coffee & nice shop. Plenty of seating, would be a good place to meet friends. I parked on the street on a week day morning with no issue.

Phenomenal shot of espresso and drip coffee. Stopped in while passing through town and wasn’t sure which shop to try out. This was by far the right choice. The staff was very kind and had an incredible workflow.

The lattes and pastries are a straight ? for me. I highly recommend the ginger latte and wasabi garlic babka. The service is fast and friendly. Being located in the historic Athenaeum is a bonus. I just love this place.

Their vegan breakfast sandwich is delicious!! Their drip coffee is also always amazing. I love that they have plenty of vegan options for pastries and food. The space is definitely most suitable for those who are going there to work as it's very dark and quiet.
