Colonial (Inn) Tavern has seen a lot of changes since 2020, including the fact they have no waitresses so customers go to the bartender. So what they DO have is the fastest bartender, (Cupcake) who's 16 years speaks for itself. Cupcake always smiles and is calm and was always a pleasure to work with for years. You can't call enforcing Colonial policy being rude or unattentive. We've seen all types of customers so please consider the numerous responsibilities a bartender has to keep customers safe... That our liquor license include rules. That's not being rude, that's keeping ALL customers safe.

I seen the newest comments made about Cupcake and I would like to comment on it. I have known Cupcake for 10 years + and have been going into colonial Tavern for years ans well and I have NEVER seen Cupcake treat anyone poorly. She is very attentive to ALL her customers! She is an amazing bartender and sever. She is a great addition to the Colonial tavern. She is the best bartender I have ever had. YOU ROCK CUPCAKE!

I have known Cupcake for years and she is a great bartender and sever. She is always attentive to her customers and I have never seen any issues with her what so ever. She is a great addition to the colonial! She is the best bartender I have had!

I just want to say my piece and let the truth out. I was there the night these other reviews are talking about. Don't believe anything these girls are saying. I saw everything that happened. They went to move our drinks from where we were sitting at the bar and Cupcake told them that someone was sitting there and asked them to move. Then they started catching an attitude and poppin' off at cupcake so she cut them off. So basically they didn't get what they wanted and now they crying to Google over it. I've been going here for 2 years and cupcake has never been and issue. She's the best bartender I've ever had. Cupcake wasn't BY ANY MEANS being rude nor has she EVER!! Grow up ya'll. This is ridiculous!

Went here this past Saturday to celebrate a friend's birthday. Had a great time with DJ Chuck. The bartender, Cupcake, was extremely rude and honestly seemed determined to make everyone have a night as bad as hers. She made up her mind about us the moment we walked in the door and treated us poorly from that point forward. I genuinely cannot figure out what her problem was from the start. Nearly everyone in our group had something to say about her poor service. Everyone chose to keep it to themselves and seek service from the other bartender as we were there to celebrate and not to cause issues. This was until Cupcake went out of her way to confront the Birthday Girl's Mom, and speak poorly about one of the guests who had already told us about her negative interaction with Cupcake. I honestly think had it not been for her, we would have had a great night because we had a positive experience with everything else. If I was the owner, I would be concerned about what business she may be driving away with how she treats patrons.

Had a birthday party there with 20-30 people. Drinks were cheap and good, same with the food. However, the bartender there was extremely rude and inattentive to everyone in our party. Continuously made comments and snarky remarks to each of us and made the overall experience not a fun one. DJ Chuck was fantastic and made the night better. But overall, I will not be returning.

I’ve been to the colonial a few times now, talia and max always have made our drinks fast and tasting amazing. We only come on Saturdays because of the service we get from them. Awesome bartenders! Love the environment they create!

They hosted 15-20 of us from a Library conference for karaoke. The service and atmosphere was AWESOME, very cool Indy dive bar. I told them we were coming, they reserved us seats without me even asking. Drinks were good, cold, and cheap, and the restrooms were very clean. Karaoke was BANGIN, the KJ even accompanied on his sax for a few songs. Highly recommend stopping by this awesome bar if you’re in Indy.
