When you've been driving all day, there is nothing better than a nice cup of coffee. This was the case and I was super stoked to see a coffee I had never tried before - Hawaiian. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough left - it ran out halfway through filling my cup - so I had to select a second coffee to fill the other half of the cup; I chose an old favorite, Mexican. The Hawaiian/Mexican blend was good though. I also selected a cranberry muffin; my daughter opted for grapes and cheese. They always have a nice selection of muffins, biscotti, and small servings of fruits and cheeses. A nice little kiosk in Riley's Children's Hospital with a little bit of everything, including a helpful and polite staff. It's always a tough trip taking my daughter to the children's hospital every few months and this place makes the day a little easier.

Friendly staff, mediocre coffee. Since they're right across the hospital caf, it's sort of a hostage situation. Next time, I might pay for the cafeteria cuppa instead, likely costing less, add ice cubes and cream to it, to make my own iced drink. Got my usual decaf Americano--asked for soy but LOTS was put into it. Couldn't taste the coffee--was like milk drink with coffee flavored water. Supposed to be Indonesian/Javanese/Sumatra coffee, but tasted generic and flavorless. However, the portion was cheap and generous, the service perky and quick. So if you're not picky that about coffee, this is something, I guess. Sort of a bargain, as it's much less pricey than Starbucks or other nearby coffee places (Caribou across the way in the IUPUI Campus Center). Depends on how much you want to pay for excellent coffee. My caffeinated drink ratings for IUPUI and the surrounding medical-ed institutions so far are: 1. Einstein Bros. Bagel coffee, IT building 2. Caribou @ Campus Center 3. Starbucks in B&N IUPUI, almost by default (haven't tried Sbux in bank building next to Eskenazi Hospital, though)--by virtue of badcoffeeing a little less than Copper Moon, the freeze-dried instacaffeine in my guest housing unit, etc. 4. Copper Moon World Coffee Where's the Asian-style bubble tea (/fruit tea) drinks on this campus? Watermelon-flavored, ginseng tea, anyone? Where my boba at? ::Sigh::

Red Velvet Cookie warmed up is the way to go!

This coffee store is extremely overpriced for the quantity and quality of what's being sold. I usually do not drink coffee so I don't get the coffee. Their regular small cup of tea costs about three times more than it should. The last time I tried getting regular yolait yogurt it costs about three dollars which is 200% more than the regular price. Everything at this store costs an arm and a leg for something that isn't special, high quality, or unique. The only thing worth it to me at the store is their soup. The one I frequent sell soups which is about the only thing I allow myself to get at this store. Other than that, I am staying clear of this store.

Copper Moon Coffee is located in the old Hubbard Cravens location across from the IU Hospital Cafeteria. Copper Moon has several locations around Indianapolis area placed inside IU Hospitals, Methodist and several located in Lilly's. The coffee has a tendency to have a burnt flavor and I usually purchase because options are slim. I now go next door to the deli and just buy a regular cup of coffee using flavored cream. The pastries look scrumptious but the muffin and cookies I've had very on the stale side and not worth the calories. I will occasionally give them another chance but still find the burnt flavor.

Copper Moon is a place I have visited a lot due to convenience and lack of other options. However, I have decided recently that I would rather wake up earlier and make my own coffee than go here. Honestly, I could excuse almost every other aspect of the place except for the fact that the coffee is just horrible. I'm talking horrible - like the mystery coffee in your break room is far superior. Once, before I knew this to be true and consistent, I actually trekked back to return my coffee, thinking that something had gone horribly wrong in the brewing process. Surely a cup of coffee priced comparably to Starbucks couldn't taste this weak - maybe I got a cup from a broken machine? Nope. Although the employee was very gracious and replaced my coffee immediately (from a fresh pot) it tasted the same. I find sugar in coffee to be repulsive, but I have occasionally added it to this coffee if I really need the caffeine, just to get it down my throat. I recently found out that Copper Moon makes K-cups, and the audacity of that nearly killed me.

The coffee is soooo bad. It tastes like burnt folgers! You might as well walk over to the Starbucks on campus if you are desperate, or just not have any coffee. I took one sip and dumped the entire container. The employee service is very hit or miss. I've seen them very friendly and also very snarky. I usually stop in to check if they have fresh fruit cups when I crave strawberries, but I would never get coffee here again.

Truly an affront to what coffee and pastries should be. Coffee is scorched, pastries greasy.

Copper Moon is everything I don't look for in a coffee shop. Coffee is bland and uninspiring Not a relaxing place Unfriendly employees Expensive for what you get Baked goods are not tasty It is worth the walk to the IUPUI Campus Center to get Caribou Coffee.

I hadn't been here in a while and I won't be in a hurry to go back either. The customer service was terrible. They gave me a plain peanut butter cookie when I asked for a Reese's and then tried to tell me that they were all the same when I told them they gave me the wrong one. The guy in front of me asked for a drink to be not skinny and verified that it wouldn't be made with skim milk. The cashier got really huffy and dismissive with him. The person in front of him ordered a drink and the cashier asked if what she really meant was a different drink alltogether (and no, it wasn't). Even the plain drip coffee was really weak. Certainly room for improvement!
