We ate at the Cracker Barrel on Southport Road in Indianapolis. The food was delicious. Our waitress was Kathy and she was great. Just wanted to give her a wonderful review for her hospitality.

I want to personally thank your manager David, he was exceptional and treated my brother on Vetrans Day with the upper most respect. I have noticed him before when I was in the restaurant how super nice he was. Thank you for such a great choice!!

I went into the store Wednesday to order 2 turkeys and a ham for my family Thanksgiving on Saturday. I arrived at the store around noon on Saturday and paid the bill. I think I was a little early so I shopped. After around 20 minutes a young lady asked me what the name was, I told her and she said they were working on it, another 1/2 hour or so goes by and the same young lady came up to me again and said that I may need to drive around back, but then said I didnât need to. I waited longer and then a gentlemen came up and gave me a bag of a half frozen still in the package ham and 2 turkey breast still in the package not cooked. I was livid as I expected to not have to cook, that was the point of ordering from you, but I didnât want to ruin my day so left and then spent the next several hours cooking instead of hanging out with the family. Ruined the dinner as all the sides were done expecting to eat at 2. I could have gone to the grocery store and bought 3 chunks of meat in the package for 1/2 the price. If you need to depend on a restaurant for a family dinner, I wouldnât choose this one.
Kathy was amazing

Had Kathy as a waitress who took such great care of us today. Always anticipated what we needed such as additional condiments and refills on our tea. Awesome service!!!

Took 14 min to get water and coffee, limited menu, and food was not even warm. Server did not bring us a 2nd refill on coffee and never checked back after dropped food off til she brought us the bill. No one even cashier asked how things were. Thanks for this chance. No chance I ever go back to this location.

Very disappointing visit â especially for seniors and accessibility
We came to Cracker Barrel today with my 83-year-old mother-in-law, who uses a walker. She had thoughtfully called ahead to make a reservation so she wouldnât have to stand or wait long. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation, and she still ended up waiting 20 extra minutes for a table. For someone with mobility issues, thatâs a big deal.
The two ladies working the host stand were rude and dismissive when we tried to explain the situation. It felt inappropriate and unkind, especially given her age and the fact that she had tried to do everything right by calling ahead.
While we waited, I had picked out a hoodie to purchase. When our table was finally ready, I politely asked if they could hold it for me. I was told no, very abruptly â and also told I couldnât take the items with me to our table. The tone was unnecessary and added to an already frustrating experience.
Once we were seated, things improved. Our server was very nice and took good care of us. But even then, the meatloaf was cold, not even warm.
The food and the server were the bright spots, but the check-in process, the lack of accommodation, and the rude treatment overshadowed the visit. For a restaurant that promotes hospitality, today really missed the mark.
I hope management addresses the issues at the host stand â especially regarding seniors, accessibility, and basic courtesy.
