I am writing on behalf of my husband -- who actually made the reservation! We both love to indulge in fine dining at least a few times a month. We were hoping that this dinner would be a nice end-of-the-night treat after we left our live-band concert in Lawrence. We were sadly disappointed. We arrived around 8:20P--a little early for our 8:30 reservation--but we were seated pretty quickly. Our server came over, got our drink order (no alcohol -- just water with lemon) and our appetizer order. We also placed our orders for our entrees. Appetizers arrived, water arrived. Server had to be stopped for water refills as she passed our table several times. WE WAITED FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR FOR OUR ENTREES! I had the short rib which was tough, dry and tasteless. My husband ordered the filet, which was cooked properly but tasted like smoked cardboard. I took my food home so I could "rework" it for lunch the next day; husband left most of his steak on his plate. Husband requested our vehicle from the valet and quickly stepped back inside the door to stay warm. After almost 30 minutes and no car, he checks again and was told "I didn't know we were leaving and wanted your car, since you went back into the restaurant!" HE STEPPED INSIDE THE DOOR BECAUSE IT WAS 16 DEGREES OUT! The whole experience was memorable for all of the wrong reasons. Not very likely you'll ever hear us say again, "Let's go to Doc B's for dinner!" What a terrible experience.

We were a group of two couples and we all enjoyed our meal. We ate in the bar, which was lively. Our waiter was excellent, checked on us periodically and provided good service throughout the evening. The Shrimp Wok Out Bowl with lo mein noodles was really good! And we all loved having Sam Adams Cold Snap on tap. The ambiance in this place is awesome. It's lively with contemporary decor. It almost feels like I'm in LA when there. Prices are reasonable for the food quality, quantity & overall service. We will definitely be going back again.

Burgers were huge, and for a fresh option the workout bowl was tasty with fresh veggies. Atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable.

I had visited Doc B’s once before and while it was memorable, I felt indifferent when my brother chose it again to celebrate his birthday. That second visit completely changed my view.

The food was delicious, and the presentation of several dishes felt like true culinary artistry. I’ve never seen fries, especially sweet potato fries, plated so thoughtfully and stacked with such creativity. It immediately stood out.

Our table sampled a wide range of dishes, from ribs and smoky Gouda mac & cheese to the wok-out bowl, fresh guacamole served with airy, light sweet potato chips (absolutely delectable), burgers, wings, chicken wraps, kabobs, and a crispy chicken sandwich. Every dish was enjoyed, there were no misses.

The meal was elevated even further with dessert. The house-made cookies and cream ice cream, Rob’s Double Decker Chocolate Cake, and the tres leches were the perfect ending.

This visit turned me into a fan. Doc B’s delivered on flavor, presentation, and overall experience. I’ll absolutely be back.

Excellent service, food was delicious and plentiful. Fresh, high quality. Time to prepare took longer than expected but likely due to large cheer competition in town. Server provided a free chips/salsa to hold us over. She changed drinks out promptly without even asking. Highly recommend!

They are good with gluten free needs! It's not on the menu but we found out a lot of options are GF and they have GF buns. The manager told us they also have a dedicated fryer for fries so the fries and sweet potato fries are also GF! This was such a pleasant surprise. We got the guacamole and burgers and it was delicious!
