Great drinks and better service. I’ve met 3 of the employees and all are very kind and quick to assist. Love the retro jukebox. Awesome back patio, and you can play darts or pool.
Haven't been here but my dad lived this place ..he grew up in dorman and my great granny so to see this place still thriving I have to come and sit with Dad in spirit and have a cold one ..see u soon so nice❤️
Great vibes, great people, and a really nice canned/bottled beer selection.
Sad to report the stereotypes of how they treat heterosexual men are true. Kinda shocking as I have not experienced that at a bar in a long time. I met friends up here a handful of times and it was all right, but one time I dropped in solo and felt like I was being stared down and eavesdropped on from the very start. I was playing pool and having a generally good time, but then they had someone come over and question me all about where I came from and who I was with. It was absurdly uncomfortable, but it fit too many stories I had heard of this place from other straight guys. It’s just the kind of judgy environment that doesn’t justify a dingy place with an overpriced and average draft list, an absurdly dirty outdoor patio space that should have lots of potential and a “food menu” that is literally frozen pizzas bought from the grocery store and a pretzel. I initially loved the idea of a neighborhood bar like this, but I can’t see wanting to go back.
It's what I'd call a dive bar with cheap beer and friendly service
Friendly, fun, and accepting.
This is a neat and comfortable place to grab a quick bite and a great cocktail, our bartender was very friendly, be prepared to show your id no matter your age, we had a pepperoni pizza that had great flavor, but was a little over cooked and the spinach and artichoke dip, that was very well made , I had a well made lemon drop martini to end my night. I recommend this place!! , some reviews are not correct in my opinion, give it a try
An inclusive and authentic dive with a lovely back patio. Drinks are cheap and pool is free. An essential Indy bar.
Cool locals dive bar in the heart of a neighborhood off the beaten path.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. The female bartender was so rude that it is just downright ridiculous. How is this place in business? She shorted me $10 on my change from a $20 bill after buying one drink. She then got mad at me and acted like it was my fault and that I'm a liar for asking for the rest of my change. After dramatically counting her drawer twice, she realized that she in fact did make a mistake and that I was right. Then she THREW a $10 bill in my face and walked away!! I'm sure she'd deny it if any manager of this place even cared to ask (which based on all of these other similar views they don't seem to).

Just a super-fun low-key bar that stays open way late.

Dorman Street is a neighborhood bar near Mass Ave that perfectly captures the “hole-in-the-wall” vibe. It has a large patio, one pool table, and an old-school jukebox that adds a great retro touch. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the crowd is mostly friendly regulars, which gives the place a comfortable, familiar feel.
The bartenders are nice, and the drinks match the chill vibe here—nothing fancy but exactly what you want in a classic bar. Prices are a bit on the high side for a dive bar, both for food and drinks, but not unreasonable. Just something to keep in mind if you’re expecting budget dive prices.
This is definitely the type of place where you’d want to keep things cool and blend in, as it has a local feel that’s best appreciated when you’re on good terms with everyone. Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxed, low-key bar experience with a bit of character, Dorman Street is worth checking out.
