I came here upon a recommendation from a friend (Hi, Steve!). After having tried “Indy’s best voted Mexican restaurant”, Lindo, I’m confused as to how El Meson didn’t accomplish top honors. Coming from NYC myself and indulging in Mexican-Harlems finest food, El Meson has the most delicious food that reminds me of Spanish Harlem. The customer service is top notch and the food is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Indy (my tacos had so much flavor; the birria is good as well). And of course you can’t forget about the margaritas! Try the flight and you won’t regret it. El Meson deserves all the respect it deserves and has the quality food & service to back it up. Definitely will continue to come here.
