I came here upon a recommendation from a friend (Hi, Steve!). After having tried “Indy’s best voted Mexican restaurant”, Lindo, I’m confused as to how El Meson didn’t accomplish top honors. Coming from NYC myself and indulging in Mexican-Harlems finest food, El Meson has the most delicious food that reminds me of Spanish Harlem. The customer service is top notch and the food is the best Mexican food I’ve had in Indy (my tacos had so much flavor; the birria is good...

A notch above the typical Mexican restaurants. Great service, attentive and friendly. The presentation of the food was outstanding! The steak fajitas were tender and flavorful. Highly recommend this particular El Meson!

Man... Really disappointed. We used to frequent all of the El meson locations and I remember them being pretty solid choices. We ordered our meal to go from here the other night. It was so pricey and just.... Not great at all. Definitely not worth the cost. There are much better Mexican restaurants in the area.
