I wish I read the reviews first before ordering. Stranded from a missed connection flight, it was late and I had a food voucher to use. Decided to see what was opened and tacos sounded easy. I was quickly disappointed. This is some of the worst Birria I’ve ever had. Birria shouldn’t be hard to mess up but apparently this place knows how to ruin it. It was so fatty and lacked flavor. I was able to eat one taco because I was starving but the thought of the last one made me sick. Thank goodness I didn’t use my own money to pay for this!

I had this delivered, which usually guarantees something was going to be wrong with the order. I stand corrected. Might have the best steak quessadilla I've ever had. Got a burrito also, and it was worth the little extra you'd pay at another spot.

The man who charges people at the front desk is a Salvadorian guy who charges you extra and puts whatever he wants to charge you for taxes, I ask him for prices and he deny to tell me the information, the receipt doesn't have the items either.

They said they did birria but they didn’t and gave us regular asada tacos and charged so much not worth it no point in saying you serve something just to not serve it. Food was mid also
The food is SO GOOD! I ordered tacos de carne asada. The salsa verde and the horchata were bomb. 10/10 BUENISIMO probably the best in town . The guys were very welcoming and had good hospitality

Looking back at the kitchen, you can see they keep everything very clean. The food is authentically good and the drinks are fresh and delicious. Service is good but the atmosphere could use some updating. Outside of the restaurant is also not the cleanest but this is definitely a really dependable spot.

I'm a simple gringo. However, I have always gotten the best service, the best food and excellent value from El Rey Del Taco.. The portions are generous, the food is extremely fresh and flavorful.. We are fortunate to have an establishment such as this on the westside of Indy.. I urge you to try everything there..
