Food’s ok, but FYI, this is a vending machine

I was on a 'late-nite eats' hunt & came across this on Google Maps' Restaurants. I never knew this place existed but I sure am glad it does! I visited the website and voted for an establishment to win a Free Fridge via a current contest it has going on. I ordered a plethora of healthy & yummy-looking salads (but didn't see many other foods outside of salads to order from on the site as it is advertised on Google Maps...it could've been my fault for not thoroughly searching the site so I'll go back and check) that I'm expected to be delivered before the end of the week. I'm giving this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars in good faith that it will not disappoint! Thank you for feeding us HEALTHY in these questionable times. ???

Farmer's Fridge recently set up a station in the building in which I work, which has long been bereft of lunch options. I have tried several of their offerings -- salads, sandwiches, protein snacks -- and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the Asian Chopped Salad. Items are fresh, portions quite generous, flavors interesting and very tasty and their salad dressings are just right. The prices are reasonable with a rewards points system to earn free items. They have a recycling station to return the containers. I highly recommend their products. Their menu offers a little something for everyone.

This Farmer's Fridge machine is perfectly located right next to the downtown MyHealth clinic, AKA where I go for all my annual check-up and flu shot needs. So I just love complementing that appointment with something fresh and healthy from the Farmer's Fridge. Doing two nice things for my body in one go? Check! The prices honestly are not that bad especially for the quality of food you get. I love that all the containers are recyclable -- you just drop them in to the side of the machine. It doesn't even say you have to clean them, but I did. The machines have breakfast, lunch, and snack options. There are optional protein add-ons and it really is the perfect amount of food. My favorite is the buffalo cauliflower salad and the dark chocolate nut mix--absolutely addictive!

Yeah. Okay... so this is, uh.. like a healthy vending machine from the future or Japan or something like that. First a short little story. I ordered a sesame Asian chicken salad from Panera to be picked up. I opened my bag and there was this sad little handful of pale iceberg lettuce with three pieces of chicken. Thinking they'd given me a side salad, I went to the counter, they assured me it was a half portion. When I asked where the rest of the stuff was, like maybe some mandarin oranges (pretty typical for Asian chicken salads) I just kind of got a blank stare. No biggie, they gave me my money back and I left their little sad salad there. I still wanted a salad and the line for the Subway was a mile long so I tried this little vending machine. The selection was fresh and it all sounded like a healthy option if you're working on your beach body. I had the buffalo cauliflower salad and it was pretty darn good. It was fresh, cold and crunchy. I got a promo code for 50% off my first salad. I'll definitely keep this as an option in the future.

I had seen this advertised through yelp and on the news. I went to their website to find the closest location to me. Several of the locations are in private offices, but the one in PNC is public. I had business in the PNC building and remembered that their food vending machine was located here, so I went in search of it. Depending on how familiar you are with the buidling and where you're entering it at, you may find it hard to locate the Farmer's Fridge. It is located across from Subway on the first floor, to the left of MyClinic. It is super easy to use with a digital touch screen. There are categories to choose from such as breakfast, snack, sandwiches, salads, etc. You can click on an item to see more info about it, such as ingredients. If it's your first time using Farmer's Fridge, you can opt to received a text code for 50% off your first order. I found this extremely useful, as their prices on some items are pretty expensive. Once you have selected all the items you want to purchase on the touch screen, select "check out", enter any promo codes, and then select "Pay", where you'll swipe a credit card. Once the payment has gone through, you're item(s) will be selected and drop down just like a vending machine. And the items come out fresh and cold! You can also return to the machine later to recycle your containers. Very environmentally friendly too. I ordered the Greek Salad and Greek yogurt. Both arrived cold. The salad was large and very filling! All ingredients were fresh and tasted delicious. The lettuce was not brown or wilted. The salad contained tomatoes, romaine and spinach lettuce, red peppers, cucumbers, kalamon olives, farfalle pasta, feta cheese, almond slivers, and greek dressing. The yogurt contained greek yogurt, bananas, raisins, apples, berries, granola and walnuts. Nothing was mushy or soggy. I would definitely recommend ordering from Farmer's Fridge vending machines. The food is fresh and it's convenient.
