First time there. I won't return. Fried dumplings were soggy and oddly sweet. The hot and sour soup was blah. And the triple delight was bland. Add to that the "fried" rice wasn't fried at all, just colored yellow. Plus the inside of the place was depressing and could use a good cleaning.

Easily the best General Gao's I've ever had. The rice was cooked perfectly with great texture. The dumplings were juicy and delicious. The staff was wonderful. Amazing restaurant, no notes.
I got the chicken Lo mein which was just ok. The inside looked dirty and I don't think I'll return

I bought fried rice from this establishment for lunch and when I took a bite I had bitten on something hard. I took the food out of my mouth and noticed tiny shards of glass in the food. I had already taken and swallowed a couple of bites of my food before noticing this.
Thankfully, nothing happened. I did go to the ER and the doctor assured me that the glass was likely small enough that it would pass through normally.
I did receive a refund but I thought I'd make this incident public seeing as this is a safety issue that could happen to other people.
I did report the restaurant to the Marion County public health department and, while looking up information on how to do this, found information that is completely accessible to the public that Fei Da often fails their routine inspections. They are only given a passing grade after giving time to correct their mistakes after a few days/weeks but that still doesn't erase the fact that they repeatedly fail their inspections and only pass once their mistakes are pointed out.
I thought I would let the public be aware of this worrying predicament. I attached a picture of the glass shards I found that were in my mouth.

Surprisingly excellent Chinese cuisine. Yes, with American influence, but each dish had its distinct flavor and ingredients were fresh. The dishes we had were all perfectly cooked, and the large portions were Really Large (leading to some great leftovers! ) Highlights included Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, and Sichuan Tofu. Each dish came with rice. Only the chow mein was a bit salty (we had roast pork chow mein), the rest of the dishes were less salty and had great vegetables. A solid deal, four adults ate well and had enough for lunch for the next day, for just about $60. Looks more like a take-out place, but we dined there and the staff was friendly, the Chinese music was pleasant, and the temperature was good. If they just had some hot Jasmine or Green Tea, the place would be pretty perfect ?
Vegetarian options: We really enjoyed the Sichuan Tofu! Also, the Garlic Sauce is great...
