Hours on website clearly state Friday and Saturday until 10pm. My daughter and I came in at 9:05 and were turned away. Restaurants wonder why they go out of business. It’s because of things like this. We would have been in and out by 9:30. Rude and unprofessional at its best.
Very authentic, great guacamole, great margaritas.

I dream about the shrimp tacos. One of my favorite restaurants in Indy! Churros are also delish!!!
Parking: Usually the lot is full, but plenty of street parking nearby.

Food is great. Atmosphere is a bit loud on weekends but worth it for the food.
Rated 2 stars as just tired of dishonest restaurants that charge hidden fees. If you are on the fence I’d recommend going at least once. If you are the owner of this restaurant just charge the price in your food cost. Why add on a hidden 3% service fee. This practice is just flat out deceptive and wish they would make it illegal for anyone to do this practice.

Never had better enchiladas. Not sure what the bad reviews are about, but they are all from about 2 years ago.

Delicious food in a fun and intimate setting, great for casual week day dinner or special occasion. Many items and specials change, keeping the menu fresh and interesting. Limited seating, so reservations are highly recommended for the weekends.

One of my new favorites in Indianapolis, Festiva combines accomplished Mexican cooking (running the gamut from simple comfort food to refined fine dining) with a casual atmosphere and one of the best-curated tequila lists in the city. Definitely recommend the short uber trip for folks that want to explore great Indianapolis cuisine beyond the convention center orbit.

The food is clearly traditional. Someone is running this place with a book of recipes handed down from generations of family who know good traditional Mexican food. Highly recommended.

Received the worst shrimp tacos and queso of my life. Maybe other things on the menu are good but the shrimp were unseasoned, overcooked and overall tasted like rubber. The queso tastes like velveeta cheese with enchilada sauce. Horchata has a weird bitter aftertaste. Cilantro/onion were dry, rice/beans were unseasoned and barely tasted like anything. Probably should’ve just made something at home or gone anywhere else

The food and service was good. My enchiladas were not too spicy and the mole poblano sauce was a flavorful part of the chicken enchiladas. The only “critique” I have is the portion size is not what I was expecting as it was smaller than other Mexican restaurants for a similar price point.
Parking: Their parking lot is small, but there is plenty of street parking within a block or two.

Very pricey for what it provides. If you want more upper-scale white mexican food, go to the Livery. And if you want traditional, affordable, traditional mexican food with large portions go to La Parada or some place like that.

Margaritas were super good! Staff was polite and attentive. On the downside, the patio bar was the only available seating and it was sweltering hot in there (80 degrees at least) making the dining experience not super enjoyable. Parking lot is comically small, and food was just okay. Not super impressed with the chicken tacos or queso and chips, especially for the price. There are a million other places in Indy I would recommend before this one. Won’t be coming back.

Went to Festiva on the recommendation of someone from Crown Liquors based on quality of margaritas and breadth of Mexican spirits
It was not an inexpensive night out, but it was enjoyable. If you want to try various tequilas and mezcals, Festiva is a good place to go. My wife was very happy with her Margarita Definitivo and I enjoyed the exposure to mezcals, but I think I’ll stick to bourbon and tequila in the future. Food was tasty and Jason provided us with good service. It was a good experience overall. They do add a 3% service charge for kitchen staff. My thought is they should just bump the food prices up by 3% and they can back that out for staff.
