Very delicious mac n cheese with jalapeno, tomato dill soup, and ham & cabbage soup. Excellent spot for lunches.

Found this gem of a restaurant by happenstance, and now one of my favorite places! The owner introduced himself to us when we walked in, ran us through the menu, and even gave us samples of their house salad and mac and cheese (both so good and will be getting next time!), and is one of the main cooks. The whole staff from start to finish made me feel at home, the atmosphere is like a big family hanging out and joking around, and I was amazed at how good the food was also! Will be coming back and trying to bring coworkers and friends!

Fitzgerald’s is the best spot for lunch in Lawrence and Indianapolis as a whole in my opinion! Excellent food. His homemade ranch dressing is to die for. EVERYTHING I’ve tried on the menu has been stellar. The owner is a super friendly guy and always remember us when we come in for lunch.

This is a first class lunch restaurant about one block northeast of 56th and post. They're very conscious of using excellent ingredients in all their menu items and the service is terrific. The dining room is on the small side so I'd recommend getting there on the edge of the lunch rush. There is no dinner service and parking can get limited in part due to an adjacent restaurant.

I missed out on the sloppy Joe’s special, which is my favorite and why I went, but I got there late today and it was a blessing in disguise. I had to get something different so I picked the garden rooster and it is amazing. Well seasoned chicken, very fresh vegetables and homemade dressing is awesome!

Got the roast beef sandwich. I didn't think the meat had very much flavor. The horseradish sauce was fairly bland. In fact I think the horsey sauce at Arby's probably has more of a bite to it. In fact even I fellow patron who tried their horseradish sauce thought that it was bland.
The potato chips were excellent.
The mac and cheese was just okay.

I love this place...it's kinda fast food that taste like home made food

I got the roast beast and my husband got the Maurice. The roast beast was really good but the Maurice was absolutely delicious. We shared the Mac and cheese which was delicious as well. The woman who brought our food out to us asked if it was our first time, we said yes, and she brought us a sample of the baked potato casserole which was so good.

Menu is great. There were too many things that looked good....so I'll have to come back. The outside seating was great and had lots of shady options. Let me soak up some of the great weather.
