The food was decent, and the drinks were refreshing. The person that took my order didn’t seem too happy to be there.
We finished our food and drinks and wandered off looking for a public restroom, as the sign on the door indicated they didn’t have one. After not finding any, I called them back to ask where a public restroom is. The response was “why are you calling me?” I informed the person we were just there… paying customer… and he said “oh you can use our restroom, so we headed back. Arriving 1 minute after closing time, the masked man wouldn’t let my elderly mother back in to use the restroom.
This cafe doesn’t meet my standards for customer service and I probably won’t be back.

Located along the canal, you order at the counter and eat on the terrace. The atmosphere is nice, the scenery is beautiful, and the comforts make you want to live in Indianapolis.
The Italian soda (I forgot to take a photo) was different from what I had imagined, but it was really delicious. I opened the door on the left side of the room and used the toilet inside the building, and it was clean.

Don’t tip till after you experience the service. We waited in line for over 20 minutes to order at 3 PM on a Saturday. The food took even longer to arrive, and they forgot half our order. When I tried to flag down the waitress to tell her (we thought maybe it was coming later, never did), she held her hand up in my face and said, “No.” Then she went inside and came out with ONE of the two things that were missing. She had no idea that an entire entree was missing because she wouldn’t even let me talk to her. Unbelievable. And of course they flash the screen at you to tip BEFORE they show you what kind of service they give, so they got an awesome tip on crap service. When I finally got my food, everyone else in my party was done. The food is spectacularly overpriced and supremely underwhelming, but not nearly as bad as the service. The only positive thing I have to say is that we could bring our dog on the patio. But he says he didn’t like it either.

Dietary restrictions: They say they have a GF pizza but for those of you with real Celiac, it won’t work—they cook it in the same oven/area as all the gluten pizzas and with no sleeve. That doesn’t stop them from upcharging like $6 for GF and then $4 for vegan cheese. Outrageous.

Great place for a sandwich and a spritz on the canal!

First of all, the food was excellent. In our party we had 3 different flatbreads, a sandwich, a salad and the toasted ravioli. Then we had the Gelato for dessert.

The staff were super friendly. My 4yo was asking questions and the staff member taking our order was really nice and helped him order.

We aren't from Indy but if we're in the area again this will be on the list to stop at.

Such good food!!! Lovely ambiance right on the canal walk. Toasted raviolis were our favorite, but the pizza and chicken parm salad were great too.

Quaint little place on the canal serving up some classic italian dishes! Breadsticks were soft and paired well with the sauce! The sandwich was good but somewhat messy due to the crumbled sausage but tasted great and the bread was fresh and fluffy! Would come back here on a cooler day to try the flatbreads/pizza.

The spiked lime slush was the perfect treat to cool down after walking the canal on a hot day

Delizioso!

The food was excellent! We sat outside to eat (in the shade, we were already pretty sunburnt), and it was a perfect day! Right on the canal, you could even get a gondola ride!

The pizza, sandwiches, gelato, and Italian soda were all great!

I highly recommend stopping here for a bite when you're in the area, you won't regret it!

Always walked by here and never stopped to try it and I wish I had sooner! I'm particular about my Italian food and whole I've only had the cosmopolitan flatbread it's worth coming back for. Amazing food and atmosphere, thank you for the experience!

Harvard was especially helpful and knowledgeable, thanks again!

The food is so fresh! Everything I've tried has been so good from the sandwiches and flatbreads to the lemonade and Italian ice. Part of their patio is dog friendly as well!
