I am an easy customer to please, so I hate to say that I did not get the best service at Gallery. However liked the place, and the food was pretty good, but we had to wait for a long time at every step of the way. I don’t mind waiting, I used to be a server, so I know how hard it can be to get to all your tables, but at one point, I had my card sitting on the edge of the table for almost ten minutes waiting to cash out. The coffee was some of the best I’ve had in Indianapolis though. So, I’d recommend trying Gallery, but be ready for a long wait.

We had one of each pastry and took some extras to go, everything was fantastic, we loved it all.We came just for the pastries, and drinks, it was a short walk from the Hyatt Regency where we were staying.

Great location to grab a bite. Known for brunch and pastries, but I had the smash burger for lunch and was impressed. The brioche bun was exceptional, you can tell they put a lot of love into their baked goods. The fries were also excellent along with the pear lavender fizzy lemonade. With tip, you're looking at around $20-$25, which is great for downtown.

The guy behind the pastry bar told me happy hour was illegal in Indiana and obviously doesn't know what he's talking about therefore I will not go there based on that alone.

This place was one of my favorites. But today was a completely disappointing, I asked for a cappuccino and I received a coffee with milk very bland, nothing special. I had to return it and they did not charge me and I appreciate that. The food wasn’t good or fresh at all. The food is expensive and I don’t mind that when the food is amazing, but today was not the case. I hope they can solve these issues and put back the great quality they used to have.

UPDATE:We stopped in for a quick little sweet treat for dessert. We were also killing some time before we headed across the street to the Indiana Fever game. The employees were very helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed splitting a "Pillow" pastry and an Iced Espresso. The quality of chocolate was exceptional and the pastries were almost too beautiful to eat. This visit was a definite win! Thank you!!!August 2023:So, we showed up at 8 am on a Thursday because that is what was posted on Google as their opening time. No. Not really. The doors were locked. We were about to walk away when a young lady opened the doors, informed us that they only offered pastries and coffee until 9 am. That's when the kitchen actually opens for breakfast service. So, we ended up doing just that: coffee and pastries. But, it all seemed like it wasn't fresh because it was all taken out of the cooler and cold. Our croissants had to be taken in back and heated up. The next thing we knew, it was almost 9, so we ordered breakfast after all. Everything was tasty, but not really anything truly unforgettable. There was also something going on with their air conditioning/duct work. Someone was going around with a huge ladder and tinkering with it. The big issue was that whatever they were doing, they were putting huge dust clouds and particles into the air. It was floating down into our food and drinks. Gross!I was definitely left feeling a bit disappointed.

If you happen to be around Penn & Maryland... This place is acceptable. Overpriced, with rude staff who will try overcharging you on already overpriced coffee... so ya... If you're around Penn & Maryland/Georgia & need a beverage quickly... This is an option.

This place has been a complete disappointment the last three times we have visited. There is unacceptably slow service. The place is dirty. Staff will stand around on their phone for 15 minutes rather than tend to customers. Gallery was great when it first opened but there are clear operations/management problems now. I would not recommend going there today.

Had a very disappointing visit Mother’s Day weekend ( Saturday). Did not feel welcome from the minute we walked in. Had reservations- but just paid for our drinks and left. Went a mile further to Cafe Patachou and had the best brunch- with fantastic food and service.

This place is a beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere. Very laid back and relaxing. The staff is great too. They treated me well. They had smiles when talking to each other and with the customers. To me, this is always a sign that the staff is being treated well.My disappointment was with the food. This may be my fault. I always say if I change the dish, i shouldn't complain it doesn't taste the way it was designed. I asked for the hot chicken french toast dish. Then i asked them to remove the hotsauce and the hot maple syrup. So the fact it tasted like it was missing some key ingredients, i shouldn't have been surprised. The reason i still gave food a low score was that the french toast was very underwhelming. I can't imagine that had anything to do with the hot sauce.I tried a cheesecake as well, and it was ok, but not something i would feel compelled to try again.
