For a place that advertises as a Chinese food and sushi place I was disappointed by the sushi mostly. The food all together wasn't great, and I've been to a lot of cheap Chinese food places, so my judgement is somewhat calibrated. We arrived at 5:45 on a Saturday night and the whole time of our meal the selection of sushi remained the same. 3 pieces of California roll. The entire time, no less, no more. See picture. Service was great!

Calm homey feeling to it good vibes all around never tried oysters before not that bad considering I don't know how they are suppose to taste 5 stars all around
NOT good. Save your money. Food is cold, old, and when they finally brought fresh stuff out, it was still sub par. We came at peak mealtime, too. So that's saying something. Go to Habachi Grill.

The food literally made me throw up. The service was atrocious. The server didn't bring out drink for 10 minutes and the food tasted terrible and old. I got sick right after I left. Go to the Hibachi Grill.

Finding Golden House was like coming back home to a good meal. They offered a wide variety of Chinese staples as well as Burmese dishes. This was the only buffet I've ever seen that actually offered bok choy, or curry! My husband and I only had the chance to visit Golden House 3 times before we discovered they had closed down. I will miss their Burmese Pork Stew very much, and doubt I will find another Asian buffet with the same level of authenticity here in Indy soon.

This was a great little Chinese buffet starting out. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill. It seems the initial enthusiasm has faded and it shows in the food quality. Everything at the steam table is either almost gone and not being restocked, or has been sitting for what seems to be far too long to be considered fresh. The wait staff is friendly, but whomever is doing the cooking needs to be fired. After visiting about 5 more times after the first bad visit, to my dismay, I've come to the conclusion that the poor quality has become the norm. I hate to see any small business fail, but I sincerely hope the place shuts down soon and something worthwhile takes its place. Only go here if you don't care to risk your health and have a greatly undiscerning palate.
