We buy our "Special Occasion" cakes at Hart Bakery! Back in the 80's and 90's I bought my children's birthday cakes from Hart Bakery and we continue that family tradition by ordering our grandchildren birthday cakes from Hart Bakery, we have never been disappointed!

Stumbled upon this place recently. It was our first visit and we received free donut holes and cookies. The owner was obviously very proud of her shop and her product. And she had every right to be! We purchased cannoli, pineapple upside down cake and more donut holes. Our total was $9. $9! What a treat! This place is a treasure. I wish I lived closer.

Hart Bakery is the BEST bakery in Indy, in my humble opinion! The product selection is exemplary and the care put into the donuts and other pastries is second to none. I went in today for my product of choice (the large, iced sugar cookies). Unfortunately, I was told that the price is now $3.00 per cookie. That's sad because I can't afford (or for that matter, even try to) buy the cookies at that price. I fear that all of the products have gone up to a place that I can't afford, or even want to afford at that price. I feel betrayed by them and I'm sad to say that I can't pay that price while there are other bakeries to visit.

Forget Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. GARBAGE!!! This place does things the old school way! The woman that works there treats everyone like she's your grandma, so friendly and knowledgeable. They'll take very good care of you. Beautiful and delicious cakes, cookies and pastries. And you could spend hours browsing the very reasonably priced gifts and tchotchkes.
Hart Bakery made our custom cake for our wedding and they provided assorted yeast doughnuts. Our cake as a chocolate cake with a raspberry filling and it was so moist and fresh! It was delicious.
