When I walked in on Monday at 7 there was only 1 couple dining. But several others were ordering takeout or door dash. The atmosphere was simple, but clean. There was a semi open kitchen and a sushi bar. I ordered an appetizer, wine and a hibachi meal. The flow seemed a bit rushed. My salad came first... very typical with a nice dressing. There were 8 pieces of Crab Rangoon with a sweet/sour dipping sauce. I ate all of them, but they didn't blow me away... mostly...
This is a really nice and relatively quiet place for lunch. The food, both hotnand the sushi, was tasty and fresh. The service was attentive without being oppressive. Personally, I like K-pop, which they had a video playlist for, but it was not very loud, and conversation was easy without being loud.
Seating is cozy and simple.
I recommend this quiet gem off of 86th for lunch or dinner.

Kyoto is ideal for date nights or family dinners, thanks to its friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Everything we have tried has been delicious, and the presentation is beautiful. The sushi is fresh and the portions are generous. I highly recommend the red bean ice cream 😋
