This was a neat little place. It reminded me of old timey Cowboy Saloon from back in the day, but it was also like a candy shop. I went there and ordered an iced coffee ice cream float and it was delicious!
During the heat of August when the state fair is in full swing, this is a pleasant place to cool off for a bit. The items on display are very interesting and historic, and where else can you still get Bit-O-Honey? Be sure to stop in!
I think this place gets over looked because it looks small but when you walk in the door be prepared to step back in history. It is like walking in to an old Hooks store way back in the day. They serve hand dipped ice cream and make the Floats with the seltzer and flavoring like before pop was in a bottle. it has the drugest's booth like back when you came to get the roots and powders that were ground in a wooden bowl for whatever ailed you. It also has thousands of medicine...
