Staff seemed to hate their job, from bartender to our server, they were miserable. We were celebrating a birthday and they could care less. Food was ok, nothing special and doesn't compare to other steak restaurants in the area.
We frequent this location and always look forward to dining here, but our recent visit was a total disappointment. The restaurant was not busy, yet our service was incredibly slow from the start. We had to repeatedly ask for items and our drinks took a long time to arrive. After ordering, our food took nearly 50 minutes to get to our table, and it was cold. Our server, Brian, was pleasant but hard to find and moved very slowly. It was a really poor experience overall and not what we've come to expect from Hyde Park.
We were a group of 8, there for a retirement dinner when the restaurant opened. We were treated to great, attentive service by Brian and others. People came around to check in with us regularly but did not hover. Food was perfect, drinks were good. My husband and I enjoy the bar for dinner, but we sat in the back of the dining room with our large group. Great place for a get together if you need a little extra table space. Thanks!
We had an absolutely amazing time at Hyde Park. We had a late night reservation, 9:45, and though it was closer to closing, the staff did not rush our experience at all. Our server, Taylor, was incredible and personable! She and the rest of the staff really elevated the experience for my partner and I. The food was great, both of us ordered streaks that were cook perfectly, drink were well made, and dessert delicious as well. Honestly couldn't have had a better experience at Hyde Prime! Thank you so much!
Let me start by saying our waitress was friendly, but the food was horrible! We dined in for a birthday and anniversary dinner. Both were ruined by the food! We had a party of 8, every one of our dishes were either cold or not cooked the way we specified. It wasn't only our table that had an issue with the food, the surrounding tables had issues with theirs as well. It's very disappointed seeing that HydePark is supposed to be a fine dining establishment. I've had better steaks at Longhorn. This was a complete disappointment , waste of money and time. A anniversary and a birthday was ruined! Thanks HydePark for the horrid memories'!
We have done Devour Indy at Hyde Park several times. We were disappointed this year with our service. We were seated upstairs but there was only one server and an assistant with too many tables to handle. We would have to ask for refills on our water which was never an issue in the past. Although all four of us ordered the 6oz. filet, there was a difference in the size of our filet for each person. My husband ordered an 8oz filet but it was smaller than one of the 6oz filets. Only after we inquired did the manager come over and said that he noticed that when he brought our food out. He said that he had already put on another 6oz filet for my husband which we appreciated. Although our meal was great we were disappointed in the variations of size for a 6oz. filet.
We had a reservation for 8. They seated us at a table for 7. We ordered drinks and my martini was about half full. I have never been to a restaurant that doesn't fill your martini glass up to the top. I asked about it and I was told that it was a corporate restaurant and that was the pour. Odd but ok. We ordered food and everything was good. After that they never came back to fill anymore drinks or see if we wanted desert/coffee nothing. Some had ordered the devour menu and it came with desert. They brought their desert and never asked the rest of the table if they wanted desert. We tried to order drinks and they never brought them out. They asked how to split the bill and we felt like they were pushing us out. Very strange experience. I would not go again. We ate at Capital Grille the night before and had a wonderful experience and great food.
This was the first time trying this and it exceeded my expectations! The management were exceptional and hands on! Our waitress was friendly and engaging. They brought out a lamb chop to try since it was our first visit, which was unexpected and it was phenomenally prepared. The steaks were prepared perfectly and the flaming butter cake was a chef's kiss. My husband said it was the best ribeye he has ever had and that's saying a lot as he is a ribeye connoisseur. This would be a great place to hold a special event as I noticed upstairs private dinning. We will be coming back!!
We drove from the Quad Cities and it was well worth it! We had the New York Strip, which was amazing! Very tender and flavorful. The brussel sprouts were great aas well. Definitely the best steak I've ever had!
Food was good as always. Filet was tender. Cauliflower vegan meal was very good. Disappointed that we had to pay for a birthday dessert. I mean why ask if it is a special occasion if you aren't going to honor it. Next time we will go somewhere else for special occasions

The food was excellent, but the service was very poor. The service was slow and we felt like we were an afterthought for must of the evening. The service was so bad that my wife ordered a glass of wine with her dinner, she ate her entire meal with ever getting the wine and the server didn't stop by during this entire time. It is really too bad, because as I said the food was very good, however the poor service will keep us from returning for a long time.
We had a great meal. We eat here about 2-3 times a year when we visit Indianapolis. The food along with the service are always great.
OK, Food and service was great. Prices main menu not so bad. Special a tad high. My only issue is valet parking. When Open Table sent me a confirmation email" I'll be there" in all the information you mentioned $10 valet. It was not $10.00. That needs to be updated.
The interiors are very upscale, and the tables are not crowded together. Barry, our waiter, was also the bartender that evening. This meant he was spread a bit thin on his responsibilities as a waiter. Having the Bread basket while eating our salads would have been nice. It wasn't delivered until well after the main course was served. The Early Bird menu was fantastic; excellent variety of choices. The temperature of our steaks was perfect. This isn't the easiest place to use the Valet parking.
It was our first time at Hyde Park and it did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and the food and drinks were delicious. I had the filet with the horseradish sauce. The filet was cooked perfectly and the horseradish sauce was out of this world. Completely different than any other I have ordered in the past. My husband refuses to put any type of sauce on his steak and even he said it was incredibly good. He had the strip and said it was the perfect medium rare. We will definitely be back.
