Fake job postings wasted my time don’t even bother with this company Unprofessional can’t even provide real interviews
Went to 2 locations; Washington St yesterday and New York St. today. Hands down the best Americano I’ve had from a coffee shop. I get it hot and plain, and the flavor is smooth and amazing. Purchased their boxed concentrate today. Both locations had 3 staff member, all of whom were friendly and conversational. And if you like baked goods, the cappuccino muffin was the best muffin ever, I wish I could replicate the taste and texture at home!!
Amazing coffee on the Monoon trail!
Dietary restrictions: Half sugar was no problem.

The coffee was decent. I was in and out, but it seemed like an easy place to hang out.

Do not go to North Liberty Java House. Today at 1:30 PM I ordered a Cappuccino. When I received my drink, it was only one third full. I asked the Barista if he would pay almost $5.00 for a drink that was only one third full. His sarcastic, snide comment was that "he did not drink coffee." That had nothing to do with the undersized drink. So he went back and added something (?) to the drink and I left. When I was in the car I realized that my drink was still only half full and it was terrible. It tasted like the bottom of a two day old pot of coffee, strong, bitter and undrinkable and I mean truly undrinkable. Had I tasted it inside, no doubt I would have spit it out. I had had enough of this rather large, unpleasant person so I did not bother to go back and complain. Java House got me once but they will never get me again, I will never go to another Java House as long as I live.

Concentrated coffee…really good.
Typically I order an espresso but the americano is a good alternative.
Also had several sandwiches - grilled cheese, ham and cheese, everything bagel. All flawless.
Highly recommend this place PLUS the broad ripple location is top notch.

The drinks were tasteless there’s no way they were made correctly. My sister asked for light ice on hers and the drink was filled to the bottom with ice. When she went to tell the workers they just poured out the drink and gave it back to her with a few less ice cubes and a quarter of the drink gone. My family has been going here for the past year and this summer has been the worst quality we have seen.

Very good selection. Nice facility. Coffee tastes very good. More of a chain than a local shop.

It’s a nice cozy coffeeshop. Got decaf iced americano and sausage & egg breakfast sandwich, and both were great. I didn’t stay longer than 3 hours just because they don’t have many lunch options, mostly snacks. Also parking is very hard to find, but it’s none of their fault.

I really like this place and their cold brew coffee is excellent but editing my review because the atmosphere is just not conducive to working - music is a little too loud and it's always freezing inside. If you happen to get lucky to get one of the (very few, they really need more) outdoor tables it's an excellent experience but they're almost always taken. Wifi could be stronger too. All in all it's more of a fun place for a chat or meeting a friend but not a good place to work, especially if you have any calls to make. No shade if they did this on purpose, totally understand if so haha. Just be warned before you try to go work there!
