First time ordering, no air while waiting , abt 6 customers waiting, Ordered gyros. Maybe the owner, apologized for air being out and I guess attempted to give me a free cookie that I did not take. When I got home the gyros was neither authentic nor tasty, the lamb was chopped and didn’t have a lamb taste, the sour cream gravy did not taste good, no cucumber sauce and the sauces they added were not good either. I took the gyros back because I don’t make purchase where product is not guaranteed. They refused to remake or exchange for another order even at a lesser price, instead they sent me out with something called chicken over rice. It was a plate of garbage, some seasoned rice, with some chopped brown chicken (same meat as gyros) and the white sour cream gravy (same as gyros, a wilted salad with same sour cream gravy extended from the guess meat over seasoned white rice, some French fries with nacho cheese on it and some shredded cheese over the rice. Like I said a garbage plate. I had already told them I don’t eat chicken over rice they pretended this was making my purchase right, No it didn’t because I definitely don’t eat garbage plates. NYC Deli is new to BroadRipple, and I won’t be going back. While the Owner (maybe) being so apologetic and offering free items for wait and air not working, should focus on customer satisfaction of food orders. Look; I can cook, so I won’t be paying this restaurant to cook for me ever again. You didn’t make it right and took the time to insult on top of it with the garbage plate for an exchange. Not a good start to a six month restaurant business!

Closes at 11 and had open sign flashing but refused service to me and another couple walking in behind me at 10:40. They only wanted a drink and cookie, nothing to cook and they were still denied service. I suggest changing your posted hours to the time you allow customers to make purchases?

I’ve been to NYC Deli a total of three times. The 1st time my order was perfect. The 2nd time my order was missing the jalapeños, the 3rd time the order was missing the mushrooms, jalapeños, steak and red sauce. I won’t be going back, too many things wrong with my orders. Sad, because the food is good!
