I really want to like this place, the neighbourhood needs more good Mexican food. Unfortunately though, after giving them many tries over the last couple of years I probably won’t be any more.To start with, the food is good, but the service generally wavers between slow and atrocious. Some issues from previous visits include having mouldy cheese in a taco, and being left with food but no silverware (and no server in sight) for over 20 minutes. This last visit unfortunately had too many issues for me to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again:- Large queso and chips came with a laughably small portion of (admittedly very good) chips. We were charged over $3 for an extra portion of chips after requesting more- Dishes came mixed up, wrong tacos in each plate so we had to swap them around- One dish came out incomplete (birria without the dip)- All dishes rang up at a 4% higher cost than shown on the printed menu. I.e. $5 tacos rang up at $5.20. When questioned we were told this was tax, but on the bill tax is charged separatelyAll in all, there are just too many other good restaurants in the neighbourhood for me to recommend this to anyone. If you’re looking for good Mexican food either try Tex Mex, La Margarita or Revolucion and you’ll get good service at least.

This place has really gone downhill over the past few years. I went to lunch here with a couple of coworkers today, and I should have known we were in for trouble when we were eating there alone right at noon on a weekday. We asked for separate checks, but instead of giving us each an amount due, he just brought over a credit card reader and told me my total for 3 tacos and chips was $27, with a water. He said he couldn't show me a breakdown but that it was correct. It didn't sit well with me that it just didn't add up, so after we all paid, I told him I needed the detailed receipt. He went in the back and, after 5 minutes, brought me a tiny torn off section of the credit card receipt that ONLY showed the total. I insisted that I needed the breakdown, which I never received, but I did finally get enough information to figure out the three tacos I knew were $12, so the chips were $6, adding up to $18, but then he added more than $6 for a tip without asking me, plus tax, for $27. When I asked about that, he said the tip was added for the whole table all on my check, except that when he charged my coworkers, they were prompted to add tips and did. It became very clear why we were the only suckers eating in this place. My lunch was not worth $27, and I would highly recommend you learn from my mistake and avoid this place.Wheelchair accessibility: There's no way to get a wheelchair into this place

This place has a super chill vibe. We went for lunch, but I would love to see this place in the evening! The house music added to the ambience. You have the get the platanos, we are coming back to try the sweet kind next. The Salty are pictured here. Fast, friendly service. Beautiful presentation.

This place is great. It might be a little more expensive than other taco spots but the food quality, service, and atmosphere are great. Try the Birria tacos, they are divine!
