The pizza birria was OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD delicious! Such a great value too! This pizza birria was PACKED with tender and juicy meat! Unfortunately, the Door dasher spilled most of our rather large cup of consomme for dipping but half was salvageable and it was delicious! Great tacos, salsa and chips. Absolutely stuffed tacos and the best birria queso taco I've had since I've been in Indy. The al pastor was over cooked, like break your teeth over fried crunchy, but the quality of the tacos and toppings, I'll definitely overlook that and come back again. The server was kind and the dining area was clean and roomy.

With Mexican restaurants, it seems you either have a complete dive with no seating or have to deal with the full sit down service restaurant and everything that entails.La Mexicana strikes a nice balance in that you order at the counter and are well suited for takeout orders, but there are also tables to sit at and eat your food and plenty of them.
