Haven't been in awhile and today's meal was 🔥
Tastes like an improvement in the recipe. I will definitely be back soon!
The takeout from Li's Garden is simply outstanding! The food quality is consistently good and very reasonably priced. I have never had a disappointing experience with the flavor. Even after bringing the food home, it stays hot, is perfectly packaged, and nothing feels soggy or rushed.
I particularly enjoy the General Tso's chicken and the chicken fried rice. Since it's conveniently located just around the corner, it's definitely my go-to spot whenever I'm craving Chinese fast food at home for a reasonable price!

Just picked up chicken wings for dinner. The chicken is burnt and the guy super rude. Will not recommend and will not be back

The food was good. Prices were normal range.
The person at the front that took our order was so nice. The food came out really hot and clearly fresh. The food itself was really good. Crab Ragoon is to DIE for! Its the best on this side of town:) 10/10. So much food for the price! 3 dinners and an appetizer for only $44

My daughter loves the Egg Drop Soup at Li’s Garden so that’s what we had for dinner. It certainly wasn’t our first order with them but I’ve never formally reviewed the restaurant until now.
Li’s Garden is located in Franklin Township on Franklin Road, just south of the library. They have a small space in the plaza, and have been almost entirely takeout since 2020. There are still a few tables and chairs inside but I don’t think anyone uses them other than to wait for their food.
I ordered via their website. It was pretty straightforward, though I wish they included pictures and descriptions of the dishes. That would help customers differentiate between some of the similar options.
We ordered:
🐓🍚 General Tso’s Chicken with white rice
🐓🍚 Boneless Spare Ribs with fried rice
🥚 Egg Drop Soup
🥡 Eggroll x 2
🥡 Spring Roll x 2
🦀 Crab Rangoon
I tempered my expectations because I’ve found that Li’s Garden, like many Chinese restaurants in Indianapolis, is quite standard and basic. In a blind taste test I believe I would struggle to determine a difference in five versions of General Tso’s Chicken.
And such was the case here. Everything was “mid”. Flavors were expected and right down the middle. Nothing was terrible, but it also wasn’t amazing. The high point for me was the sweet wrapper of the Crab Rangoon.
Li’s Garden is good because it’s inexpensive, it’s nearby, and it’s a lot of food. The family that owns it is hard-working and supportive of the Township. Dinners are just $9.95 and include an eggroll. Lunches are just $8.25 and include a choice of soup.
Pro tip: Keep the plastic food containers. They are great for food storage or for sending food home with people without needing to be returned. 👍🏻

The food is tasteless and the ingredients look and have the texture of frozen out of the bag

I've been eating here for years. I've always gotten good food, fresh and hot. Food is prepared quickly and staff is always friendly.
Recommended dishes: Beef with Broccoli
I haven’t been in a year or so, but it used to be really good. Now it’s worse than mall Chinese food. Must have new owners…

Very good! I haven't ordered any of the chicken, so I can't speak on that. I normally get the beef and broccoli with the shrimp fried rice. There's always lots of beef, lots of broccoli and lots of shrimp. And the shrimp egg roll is excellent! Well worth the money.
