My friend told me about this place and his excitement was well-warranted. I got the double cheeseburger with the works, fries, and a chocolate shake, all of which were some of the best I’d tasted in a long time. If you’re ever in this corner of Indy, check this place out. i'm from minnesota but was in town for business. Mels was what I expected based on Wagners in my town brooklyn park, but better. he food was awsome. what makes Mels better, price. beyond that they both offer almost the same food. mels is very affordable for great food.

This little place truly put any of the chain restaurants to shame. The food was not greasy.. it was affordable and the server was detailed and helpful! It opened in 1961 and is family owned. A nice treat for dinner tonight. It was like going back in time. Both the drive-in and the prices!! Very affordable!

Went and ate here for 1st time in a long time and wonder why I haven't ate there more often love the 2 for 6 tenderloin sandwich and the waitress was awesome , ordered fast food received fast, food niçe and hot. There was nothing to complain about. Even had left overs for dinner and prices are good!!! ???
