Meridian Restaurant & Bar

We love the ambience and most importantly the food at Meridian! Perfect place to invite guests and also be able to talk to each other at the table while dining!😁

I really wanted this restaurant to be great. Unfortunately, it was not. At these prices, this restaurant just has to have better food. As we got our courses, I soon realized why it was nearly empty at 7:00 on a Friday night. There were probably 4 tables occupied in the entire place, and it is not a small place. And yet, service still managed to be slow. As for the food, everything just seemed to lack any flavor at all. Three of us had beet salads. I have beet salads in many restaurants. This one was light on beets and even lighter on flavor. Two of us had shrimp and grits, again a meal that I usually enjoy because you can count on it for bold flavors and wonderful textures. This was perhaps the least flavorful or interesting shrimp and grits I have ever had. The Boar Bolognese was apparently good, but at that price it should be excellent. Even the tomato fritters and the mac’ n cheese were bland. The highlight was the bottle of wine we selected at a fair price, but then all they had to do was open that. When they did, the server filled each of our glasses practically to the rim. That is not the way to serve wine, but I am guessing she did that so she could take away the bottle without worrying about any more service. As I started, nearly empty on a Friday evening at 7:00 pm, and deservedly so based on this experience.

The food was outstanding both in flavor and amount. I had both octopus and roasted quail for the first time, and both were delicious. The beet salad was also delicious. We ate outside, and it was a lovely, warm evening with beautiful grounds and trees. Susie was very attentive, pleasant, provided good recommendations, and served us quickly. It was a lovely experience and we look forward to returning.

Our favorite. Fantastic dishes. Corn chowder delicious. Brisquit burger divine. Salmon delicious and fall salad was superb!

We're regulars and we're never let down! Great food last night. The Meridian has the best steaks in the city!!

I love going to Meridian. It's great for a date night or to meet with a friend. The smoky corn chowder is a classic and I hope it always stays on the menu! I always love the salads. Everyone who works there is so kind. Really great service! 

The food was wonderful. Great variety to choose from. Priced as expected for the items we ordered. I.liked they offered half bottles of wine. Aaron was friendly and efficient. He paced our meal perfectly. Checked back often and explained the food. He also told us about upcoming special dinners and explained the seasonal menu changes. Had a wonderful evening ☺️

Meridian was excellent; while I sent back the fritters for being too dry and bland, the rest of our meals were outstanding. It was a quiet Friday night, and we appreciated the valet parking option. Our server, Madeline, was great; she knew the entrees, gave good feedback and took care of us in a friendly manner.

One of our favorite restaurants in Indy. Fabulous food and service. Try the fried oysters, they never disappoint!

Delicious food. Good service. Quiet atmosphere. We shared the beet salad as an appetizer. Then the soups (the corn chowder is very smokey; the artichoke lemon is perfect). For entrees - the duck and the Board bolognese were excellent. For dessert, pineapple cheesecake to share.

I really enjoyed the food at Meridian. Unfortunately the flies caused a me to drop my rating to 4.
