Meridian Restaurant & Bar

Delicious food. Good service. Quiet atmosphere. We shared the beet salad as an appetizer. Then the soups (the corn chowder is very smokey; the artichoke lemon is perfect). For entrees - the duck and the Board bolognese were excellent. For dessert, pineapple cheesecake to share.

Meridian is one our favorite places in Indy. The service is always excellent and the ambience, both inside in the dining room, at the bar and on the patio is always special and cozy. The food is consistently good. Cocktails are well done.

Wonderful, one-of-a-kind, stylish! Excellent, locally sourced food, impeccable service, lovely setting. Great for a business lunch or for a more relaxed evening meal. Intimate bar. Pleasant patio.

Great, fresh choices on a simple but effective menu. Delicious food, kind and helpful service, and cozy ambiance. Plus their cocktails were lovely (although a bit strong :) but that's ok!) Will be back!

A great restaurant may not be so great anymore. We've been going to the Meridian for years. We live nearby and it has been one of our favorites. Unfortunately, or experience was rather disappointing on our most recent visit. The ambiance is fantastic, the dining room is clean and cozy, our table was set and ready to go. I ordered the seabass, my wife ordered the salmon with the aioli on the side, as suggested by the server. My seabass was mediocre and cold. My wife's salmon was covered with an indelibly garlicy aioli. She scraped it as clean as she could and asked if she could maybe have a side of greens for her salmon, as the bed of steamed chard was equally over-seasoned. The server came back and said, "the chef says we are out of chard." She offered no other suggestions and walked away. She later brought the bill for the full amount, we asked if any adjustments could be made. She said something along the lines of "well, the chef said no. We usually have a general manager for these things." So, we paid for the whole thing, which is fine. We're not looking for a free meal or anything. Really though, the food was off, and we generally expect a restaurant of this caliber to go above and beyond to ensure their guests are satisfied. We were left wondering if we'll ever go back, which is a little heartbreaking. Perhaps this good thing has come to an end.

My favorite place to go to when in Indy. They're extremely accommodating and the staff is wonderful!

Madeline did a nice job. Food was delivered quickly with smiles. Plates were cleared and all was tasty. Little on the pricey side regarding the cost.

I had out of country guests for whom I wanted to show some Indiana history, atmosphere and hospitality. Meridian did not disappoint from the warm yeast rolls and butter to the pork medalians with pesto cream sauce linguini. Service was exceptional. Dark hardwood floor, wooden beams and white table cloths felt warm, cozy and welcoming. Entrees were each prepared with creativity and arrived at our table piping hot. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely dinner! Food and service were excellent! We were prepared for the expensive experience as it's a high cuisine restaurant. Perfect place to celebrate life achievements!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful soup I had it was a poblano soup Smokey and so delicious!!

Lovely restaurant; excellent food and attentive service. Great place for conversation or a business meeting. In the heart of the Meridian Street residential area.

This is one of the oldest restaurant which is used for Big or small celebration and or dining. Located on the main street of city it serves buffet in lunch.

Everything was great. 1st time here and the food, service & atmosphere was perfect. Ken was great and brought out delicious donuts for our birthday celebration. We be back!

Went for valentines and it was a really nice intimate spot. Food was really good and so was the service
