The owner was very welcoming and warm! The food was outstanding, all of the flavors are on point and the tenderness is undeniable! Good service is so hard to find but MJ’s has it on lock! Thanks so much for a great experience and the Brisket and Mac n Cheese is my new fav!

Do NOT miss out on this! I had the brisket with hot bbq on the side and oh my Lord. It was delicious! The greens were so good, make sure to get a med or a large cause a small will leave you craving for more! My husband had the baby back ribs with hot bbq slathered on top and he didn’t let any go to waste! He said the beans were the best he’s ever had. Had strawberry cheese cake for a dessert and it didn’t disappoint. We will be going back for sure! The staff was super friendly especially the young lady that took our order .Hands down THE BEST bbq We have had . New east side favorite!

I am very disappointed with your restaurant. Ordered ribs 3 weeks ago and they were not cooked just seared on each side and covered with bbq sauce. I had to bring out the crockpot, stll no good. I want to support our black entrepreneurs but not like this!!! Please do better so you don't have to close your doors because we want you to succeed.

Rob tips I got were tough and chewy but the ones my son got were great. Sauce and flavor was extremely good. Service was slow but only because the line was out the door. Extremely friendly folks in here. The strawberry cheesecake might be some of the best I've ever had in my entire life.
We will absolutely be regulars here from now on.

I stop by on my way from work New Year’s Eve . I pulled in at 4pm . They had just locked the doors when a guy that I learned was the cook came from the back and opened the door for me . I wasn’t expecting them to be closed but I also wasn’t expecting them to allow me to make a purchase also . So with the hospitality they had already set the tone for a good experience. Because this was my first time trying them I kept it simple just a pound of turkey tip because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and ended up disappointed. Boy was I wrong from my first bite , it wasn’t like anyone else turkey from other establishments. They are in a league of their own. So I say all that to say this if you haven’t tried them give them a shot and I bet you won’t regret it!!!

We got the St. Louis ribs, brisket and chicken. Along with the baked beans, Mac and cheese and greens. It was perfect. This is my new bbq place. Thanks for moving to the east side.

They just opened inside a new building by Walgreens at 10th and Post on the east side so I've been wanting to check them out! They were SO GOOD! I had my husband stop in and told him to just get something since they don't have an online menu yet. He would up getting a pound of brisket with 2 shareable sides - green beans and mac and cheese. It came with 2 sauces (mild and spicy) and everything totaled about $35. The brisket was very tender and well seasoned, and the fatty parts fell right off. The mac and cheese was next level cheesey, and the green beans were seasoned so good. Looking forward to seeing what else they have!
