When in on Saturday the 24th.had to ask the bartender for silverware and condiments never got the silverware had to eat with my hands, she was more focused on the regulars at the bar than me and my date, saw a gentleman over served of alcohol he was asked to leave too only be sat outside drunk in the extensive heat no water nothing, I've been in the industry for over 20 years and have been coming to this establish that long if this is what you see on Saturday will stick to my Monday and Wednesday day where I'm treated like I belong can only hope the gentleman they sat intoxicated and left in the hot sun is okay.

Things could be more up-kept, bathroom is tiny, no wheelchair access at all

Wheelchair accessibility: Someone would have to open the door for a wheelchair person to get in but hope they never need to go potty

This is essentially a dive bar for hippies and a great place to see killer live music. Bluegrass Jam on Sundays, trivia and karaoke on Mondays, trivia and jazz on Tuesdays, open electric "fam jam" on Wednesdays, EDM on Thursdays plus regional and local bands on Friday and Saturdays. Darts and billiards as well. There's something for everyone at the Mousetrap.
It's helpful to know there is a larger parking lot off of 56th St with an additional entrance. The address to this place is misleading as most of the traffic comes in and out of the 56th St side.
The food is consistently good and better than regular "bar food". Strangely, this place is famous for its stew.

Parking: As mentioned in my review, the most parking can be found off of 56th street

I absolutely loved my experience getting to come here.... They have extremely friendly staff the owner likewise quite friendly and it's a happy environment... I love that they have started family day events so you can still come jam out to the bands and your kids can have a good time with you ?

The Mousetrap is a very special place….it is more than a bar…it has given me a community of friends, and it is my favorite music venue. I am in my happy place when I see Hyryder, one of my favorite bands of all time, at The Trap. Hyryder covers The Grateful Dead, and they stay true to the spirit of the Dead, while adding their own authentic way of interpreting the music. I have found a family among the other “Ryders,” or Hyryder fans. I love getting up onstage during karaoke night, and singing “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin. I am amazed by the talent that takes part in “The Family Jam” on Wednesdays. When I want to hear some EDM music and a DJ, “Altered Thursdays” are a load of fun, and it reminds me of my younger days going to raves. Every weekend, I am so impressed by the lineup of incredible bands, and I dance to my heart’s delight. The Mousetrap has heart, The Mousetrap has soul, and I must warn you…it is a Trap…when you enter the premises, you won’t want to leave!

Before I found The Mousetrap, I was lonely and friendless, after returning to Indy after living in LA for eleven years. The Mousetrap changed my life by giving me a place to do what I love (dance to live music,) and it gave me friends and like minded individuals. It is a place where I am accepted, where I can be myself, and where I don’t have to wear a mask and try to pretend that I’m normal (because I’m not.) I am grateful to The Mousetrap, and I look forward to the next show!!!
