Turn on the lights, tell your cashier to get off the phone and actually greet the customer. It was dark I couldn't even tell someone was behind the glass. The music was so loud I couldn't even ask her anything. (I could hear her conversation, when the song changed, and she wasn't taking an order). The food was horrible! Everything was overly sweet, and the meatloaf and macaroni and cheese tasted like it was going bad. So disappointed we need GOOD QUALITY Soulfood restaurants in Indy! Please don't waste your money here.

First time I had it it was great . Second was terrible via DoorDash. After that it has been great. The only issue is that they never answer their phones . When you want to order on DoorDash it tells you they’ll be open the next day at 12:00 pm but then the next day comes, they’re not open. Their hours of operations may be hurting their business especially those who get off work at 5:00/30 … because they close at 6pm . Maybe try extending to 7PM. Tried calling 4x to see if they were open so I could have someone pick it up since I’ve been craving it … but no answer . So kinda upsetting especially because they’re pretty good but have to move onto other options moving forward since hours of operations are never accurate .

Ordered food here not long ago. It wasn’t that great. The fried chicken was very bland. The presentation was the only thing that looked some what nice but just because you sprinkle parsley on everything doesn’t mean it’ll taste great.

The salmon patty tastes like a ball of vinegar, the fried chicken was not tasty, the mac and cheese tasted it's straight from the box and the hot water cornbread was undercooked. I also didn't get my Kool-Aid. DoorDash referred me to them, they referred me back to DoorDash. DoorDash referred me back to them to which they ignored my call.

Fish dinner was great Fried Green Tomatoes was awesome??(BUT)My wife ordered the chicken breasts dinner..and her chicken was spoiled had a really bad smell....when she tryed calling them round 4:45 thru kept getting a busy tone!!!!!!i guess they take the phone off the hook!!!!!!!!!wife had a bad? experience...i had a good one can't win them all$$$$

I’ve given this place about five chances because the owner is a friend of some family. Each time I go, there’s a new disappointment that takes the experience to a new low. There are such things as over spicing and under spicing. Depending on what you order, you could get either on any given day. Quality customer service is definitely lacking every single time. Once when I was there, the owner and her husband were having a fight because he stepped outside the restaurant to talk to someone and she locked him out of the kitchen. When he came back in he just exploded in the restaurant and then took it back to the kitchen, cussing and going off on her in front of her whole staff/family. I was embarrassed for them. It took me six months to go back, and I regret it. What soul food restaurant serves chicken (dry) and dressing (needs a new recipe), but doesn’t have gravy? The potato salad recipe is horrible with red and green peppers and way too much mustard. I am definitely done with Muva’s Kitchen. Great concept, but clearly this place needs some recipe reimagining and professional management development.

I want to support BB but it's sad when your hours are 12-6 and I come at 4:30 and it's closed. I placed an on line order the money was withdrawn from my account. I go to pick up my order the place was closed, doors locked lights off. I call the next day to speak with someone and I am told on line ordering does not work. Please do better. I do and will continue to support but changes need to be made.

I ordered smothered chicken and smothered pork chops. The lady who took my order asked for my number so they could notify me when my order was ready being the only customer in the building I thought they make each order fresh. Great! Right? I waited about 10 minutes. Signs were posted to check your order before you leave. My order cost a little more because it was smothered but I didn't get what I ordered. I spoke with the lady at the counter that my order was wrong and she said well we don't have any gravy it will take another 15 minutes if you want gravy. So why didn't you tell me that you didn't have what I ordered? Why would charge me for it then give me something different? Then she says well do you want your money back? I said yes. Then she tells the lady to make sure I give them all of the food back. Let me remind you I never left with the food. I've been to a lot of restaurants and most places if they make a mistake with your order or you don't have a great experience with their place of business they apologize for the inconvenience. An apology goes a long way but Not this place they didn't care that they over charged me and didn't give me what I asked for and had the audacity to have an attitude. SHAME ON YOU
I ordered the shrimp and grits, came with 2 sides. I ordered green beans and macaroni and cheese for the sides. Everything was so good! And you get a lot, I couldn’t even eat half of it right when I got it. Fast service and the people are nice too. Definitely will be ordered some more things in their menu.

I love to support but it saddens not to enjoy my meal. After ordering/paying for my food I expected to enjoy. Get to pickup window to deal with not so much of the friendliness with customer service, then to get home to eat but cannot enjoy. The batter for fried green tomatoes was wet not fried long enough, the green beans salty with one too many of the strings attached, salmon was good but a little dry.The other order yams, Mac and cheese, salmon balls were good. The dressing needs more love.

I'm sold at this point! The first time I had the meatloaf with mash potatoes Mac and cheese and greens/cabbage mix. Everything was good. The second time I went I had the half chicken and dressing special...FIRE! Great sized portions.

I heard great things about Muva’s, unfortunately, my experience was not so great. My chicken wings was raw, although I asked for extra crispy. The sweet potato’s had stems/vine from the skin. You could clearly tell they mixed in the day before’s servings with a new batch, yuck! The dressing was sweet and not well mixed together. Lastly, I arrived at 25 minutes after opening, there were out of fish.
