I tried My Taco Stop for the first time today, getting a carnitas quesadilla. The MEAT is so tender, I like the sauces that came on the side. Overall it was simple and delicious. Planning to come back again soon!

Tacos are great and the meat portions are like 1.5 or 2 tacos at a lot of places. Tamales are also good and large.

As a bit of an aficionado of Eastside taqueria fare, I can't believe I didn't drop a review here sooner. I've been going once a month or so since it opened (should probably go more tbh), and if I had to pick a favorite place for tacos and burritos, I'm pretty sure it's My Taco Stop.
It might not be what you'd expect from an old school bus parked at an abandoned Christian bookstore in a neighborhood that's been struggling for 30 years. But this place is an oasis. Everything just tastes so fresh, from the meats and garnishments to the sauces and the elote. The seasoning and spices are perfectly balanced, and every bite is bursting with bright flavors. The portions are exceptional, and the prices are more than fair.
The guy who runs the truck is super nice. He speaks English like it's his first language, which is a bit unusual for a place like this, but trust me, his food is the real deal. It's as authentic as it gets. He works hard and provides a much needed option for good, hot food in that neighborhood, and I really admire that.
You can order online and pick up, which is what I typically do, and is what I would recommend for anyone apprehensive about waiting around for your food in an area that's mostly ok, but does have some crime. They seem to have better lighting of the parking lot now, which helps. I've never felt unsafe, but having had ties to the neighborhood my whole life, my perspective may be a bit skewed. Regardless, go eat some of the best tacos and burritos you'll ever taste, and support a good guy trying to build a small business in a part of town starving for investment.

I’m not even going to lie I was super nervous to try this spot, and let me be even more honest when I saw the chicken was orange I was definitely on edge. But boy the flavor in this quesadilla is fantastic, most flavorful and juicy quesadilla I’ve ever had. Give this man a taco spot rn.

This is my new go to taco place. I came here and the man working was very friendly. The food was served up quickly and the tacos were absolute GASSSS ?They weren't overly greasy and they were so flavorful. The salsas were perfect, too. I will definitely be returning
