If “you could eat” plan to share this delicious chicken salad with a partner or friend or plan to take some home. We were traveling and did not have a cooler to keep the leftovers on our car. Wonderful service. They appear to be fully staffed based on wait time but I suspect they are understaffed like most service operations these days. You cannot tell.

Newk's bakery reminds me of an upscale Panera Bread. The concept is the same and the menu is somewhat similar in format, but much different in food items. I came her for lunch after a long morning taking an exam for work, and needed to unwind and relax. I decided to get the half soup half sandwich combo and an iced tea. I was very impressed with the quality and freshness of the food and the iced tea. Everything was delicious and wonderful. The staff was wonderful and very customer service savvy. I was impressed with the covid-19 procedures in place in the bakery. They are definitely taking precautions and protecting the safety of their customers. This is a great breakfast and lunch place to hang out and get fresh food. I would like to come back here for breakfast one day because the pastries and muffins look amazing! I would recommend this place to my friends because it is a great bakery with fresh food.

I ordered to-go. The chicken salad sandwich was okay. The main issue was that I had to throw away the mac and cheese. It was very unappetizing and a waste of $5.

My wife and I had been to Newk's before, both in Indianapolis and in the South. The food is generally good, but the service (at least at the Indianapolis location) has deteriorated beyond belief. The order taker was in well beyond his depth, and apparently had minimal, if any, training. Order entry took an unseemly time, and my order was entered incorrectly. When someone came by our table and inquired about our meal, we pointed out that it was incorrect, resulting in an overcharge because the order taker did not know how to enter it. When she returned, she offered a free entre on a future visit. I doubt we will use it. No manager was on the scene.

We had a birthday celebration and the birthday girl loved every minute of it. She has Autism and we have to make sure she is happy. She had a great time eating her personal pizza and cake.

Ordered pesto grilled chicken sandwich but got sliced turkey and only a couple pieces. The sandwich was mainly goat cheese and bread. Friend ordered a salad with his steak sandwich and salad was old and wilted.

We have always been a fan of Newk's but that ended today. At first we thought things were going to be good, signs posted regarding CoVID protocols for masks and the order taker looked prepared with mask on as did the food preparers in the back. We ordered a kids meal, a pizza, a ultimate salad with no ham and a large drink. We were told despite multiple signs saying kids meal free after 4pm with entree and drink order that they were not honoring those signs and that they were told just not to take them down. That was bizarre. When we got our salad, it had ham in it. When I took it back to the kitchen counter and explained we needed a salad without ham, the cook took the bowl and I went back to my seat which was directly across from the kitchen. I watched him as he tried to have pick out the ham from the salad with the plan to give it back to me. Before he finished someone luckily told him to make a new one. But has that not happened his apparent plan was to give us back a hand picked through salad. Then came the real shock. I watched as another cook in the back was not wearing a mask and sucking on a lollipop and the putting it in front of others to take a lick. She then took the mask off another cook who was in the middle of preparing food despite her obvious desire not to participate and the girl effectively forced the lollipop to the uncovered face of the cook while over the food. The original cook just laughed and went about her business seeing if anyone else would take a turn. I felt immediately uncomfortable with what other health protocols were not being adhered to. There seemed to be no one really in charge or if they were they didn't care. I would not feel safe eating at this establishment again. Too bad because we used to enjoy it.

It doesn't seem like there's a single adult in sight. 4 girls, all screaming at each other and blasting loud music from the kitchen. To top it off, waited around 35 minutes for our to-go food. This is a far cry from the exquisite service we receive at other Newk's. I'll chalk it up to this location, not Newk's as a whole. Really disappointing.

The chicken bacon club was delicious and the pasta salad was delicious ?. It was just us in the restaurant and the waitress started singing in the back to the music. A very happy personality. Q

My expectations weren't very high, and I only tried Newk's because I had a coupon. But wow, was I surprised! The staff were friendly and helpful, prices were reasonable, and food was delicious! The sandwiches looked really good, but I ordered the veggie pizza with 1/2 of a Greek salad. The pizza was a little greasy but had lots of toppings and was amazing. The salad was chock full of veggies, and the dressing was full of herbs. The serving was plenty for two people. Staff were wearing masked properly and disinfecting tables after people left.
