We visited Nine Lives Café & Cat Lounge in Fountain Square during fall break and had a really good experience. The staff were kind and welcoming, and everything was clean and organized. We booked an hour online ahead of time, which I’d recommend since it makes the check-in simple and guarantees your spot.

They had great coffee and a few treats — the kids liked the cake pops and the seasonal s’mores hot chocolate. There’s a separate room for kittens and another “zen room” for older cats, which was quieter and ended up being our favorite.

It’s a calm, community-minded space that supports local cat rescues. We’ll definitely go back.

The drinks aren't my favorite but I am really really picky and don't really drink caffeine, but the cat rooms are awesome. They are so so cute and I love to go to the older cat room to just sit in my inner peace. My codependent cat was adopted through them too! There's a pic of him attached where he sleeps every night (right behind my head)! All of their cats are through shelters which made me feel better when I adopted Angel. His name was Murray when I adopted him though which didn't fit him at all 😂

Oh man I love this place. It’s so clean and it’s clear the kitties are loved. And the staff is so nice and knowledgeable. I’d go every day if I could.

The drinks were delicious, lots of cool art to check out, and all the kitties will melt your heart!😸

Adorable cats, yummy coffee, friendly staff - what more could you ask for? My family had a great time and we ended up adopting a pair of kittens from the Cafe. The people who run the partnered rescue were lovely to work with, as well. Would highly recommend as a fun way to spend an afternoon or to adopt a new fur baby.

Friendly staff, delicious cold brew, and of course, adorable cats in a clean space!

Adding “children’s times” would be beneficial. We drove 2 hours to find out it had to be over 13 to get in.

Last week was my second time at Nine Lives Cat Café and it was another great experience. My husband and I have come to Indy the past two years from out of state for a festival at Hi Fi and starting one of our mornings here has been our favorite part. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the drinks and pastries are delicious, and it is an overall amazing experience. I highly recommend this to any and all cat and coffee lovers!

Used to come here years ago. Tried to visit again with our daughters only to find the weirdest arbitrary age restrictions based on what time of the day it is. I don’t know what adults that don’t like kids decided they needed tiered times of the day to allow kids, but the ageism is disappointing. We will never return or support this cafe again and we’ll be letting everyone know what dumb age-based hours rules are now in place.

I brought my granddaughters this morning for an hour in the kitty room. There were 15 people and 18 kitties! The kittens were all young, rambunctious and full of energy! You can’t pick them up, so after waiting patiently, one actually came to the couch and let us pet him. The place was immaculate and clean with NO odors! I was very impressed. At almost $13 per person, it seems pricey, but you have to understand that money is for the care of the cats. Afterward, we got delicious drinks and left. My 4stars for food was only because there was almost nothing in the case today. Also, don’t be in a rush. It takes awhile for drinks and one girl is running the show. Worth the wait! (I really wish there was more art for sale too!)

I went on a quiet afternoon, grabbed a latte, and spent an hour just hanging out with the fluffiest crew of resident cats. The café itself is cozy and clean, with a relaxed vibe — soft music, comfy chairs, and the smell of fresh coffee. The cats are friendly and clearly well cared for, some even climbed onto my lap while I sipped my drink.
