Although I had made the reservation 19 days in advance and had requested a booth so we would have some privacy as my wife is quite ill we were seated at a table adjacent to a party of about 20 diners. As a result we had little privacy and the noise from the large group was intrusive.
Service was pleasant but VERY slow. We had salads which were good but way too expensive, especially for the size. Not good value for dollar. Will not return.

We normally have great food and service here. For some reason, neither was very good. Ambience and setting remain the same and it is a good place for conversation.
Oakley's continues its tradition of innovative, expertly prepared dishes, warm and professional service, and inviting ambience. Specials are always interesting, and soups are typically exceptional.
Food was outstanding. However the noise level was very high. When we made the reservation we had requested a table in quiet area. We were given a table next to a party of 15 celebrating a birthday. When we asked to be seated at another table they said that was not possible even though there were unoccupied tables in quieter location.
Oakley's continues to shine! Met a buddy of mine there for a weeknight dinner, and it was wonderful. The food was to Steven's wonderful normal, and the service left nothing missing. Great bottle of French Chardonnay too!
Oakley's seasonal menus always offer something new and interesting to try for every palate. You won't get bored eating here or find cookie-cutter choices. I appreciated being able to mix and match appetizers instead of a large main course though the appetizers were sizeable, too. A small and intimate venue with impeccable, but friendly service, this was a great choice for an evening out with friends before going to a performance at the Palladium in Carmel.
My wife and I have been eating at Oakley's for years and literally every time it's been incredible. But this latest visit on Halloween was beyond amazing. Literally one of our top 5 meals EVER! Our server was so connected with us and she gave us perfect suggestions and almost read our minds with how it all worked out so well. The drinks, the appetizers, the entrees; All 10s! My wife had prime rib which was extraordinary. I had the rainbow trout which was terrific. We had shrimp corn dogs as an appetizer and it was delicious. The desert finished the meal with the perfect ending. It was a pumpkin brownie sundae and wow I wished we'd had room for 2 but we had to share it by this point. No doubt our favorite restaurant in all of Indiana and most of the Midwest and beyond. 😄👊👻
Another amazing dining experience at Oakleys Bistro! The bottle of Albarino, shrimp corn dogs, the deviled eggs, the shrimp lettuce wraps, the beef special, the fettuccini with chicken artichoke meatballs, and the chocolate whiskey cake dessert— everything was truly just perfect and incredibly delicious! Literally the BEST birthday dinner....Thank you Chef Steve & team!! Looking forward to our next meal with you. ❤️❤️❤️
Great dinner for one at the bar. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, phenomenal food. Best French onion soup in the city!

We had a date early one evening and there was hardly anyone there service was wonderful. Food was amazing. It never disappoints
I've been here many times, and the food and service is always excellent. I like that aspects of the menu change throughout the year, but there are a few main stays that stay on the menu. The goat cheese mac & cheese side is not to be missed. The wedge salads puts all other wedge salads to shame. And whatever the soup of the day is, make sure you order it while it's available!
Whether you are traveling through the Indy area or you are a life-long native looking for a truly special culinary experience, THIS is the place for flavorful, unique, chef-created and prepared cuisine--served with the attention and care that great food deserves. Do not miss Oakley's experience.
Lunch here is exceptional. Entrees are under $20 and the quality is remarkable. The risotto ( unique ) and tacos were delicious. Sorry no photos.

This is our go to place for each wedding anniversary. This year it was number 56. We’ve been to other places on other anniversaries, but this one is more convenient and always of high-quality. It didn’t get five stars on atmosphere mainly because it is a little bit confined. As is the custom of restaurants everywhere, we were an early dinner appointment so they sat us near the window we’re used to this. But shortly afterwards, as the place filled up other surrounding tables were seated near the window, and I had to change my seat at our table so that I wasn’t constantly bumped by the serving activity to the tables at surrounded me. So I put my back to the window. Other than that, you can’t beat this place for it unique dinner items. Make no mistakes this is not a steak and fish place. This is truly a bistro.
