Our group of seven was looking for a place for a quick place to stop for lunch on our way out of town and found this little neighborhood soul food gem. The individual meals consist of your choice of a protein (BBQ chicken, beef, pork, or fish) plus two sides and a hot water cornbread biscuit. It was my first time trying rib tips, which were delicious. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and everyone working there was so warm and friendly. This is definitely more of a comfort food place and not the healthiest nutrition-wise, but we still enjoyed it as a fun way to experience the local culture near downtown Indianapolis.

The people there are cool the food MAN NAWL!!! Rib tips are tuff. No seasoning on anything. Cabbage is best they got because they add vinegar. The fish should be fried fresh not sitting. Most the sides come out a can very disappointed!!!!!

I'm never going back. I've tried them 3xs and the last two times just very disappointing. I ordered the 4 meals for 45 and everything was nasty. The fried catfish, pork chop, chicken, and potatoes was fried in old grease. Mac and cheese was runny and bland. Hot water cornbread was looking and taste like a dried pancake. I asked for a roll and got a biscuit. This is not it. 10 thumbs down

It was the best rib tips and cabbage I have ever had. Amazing food all around, can’t wait to go back
😌 home cooked food! And best deals in town!
Portions were smaller than expected, but the quality was excellent.
The brisket lacked any flavor. Was mostly fat. The collard greens and corn bread were passable. Mashed potatoes were decent.
Was in town for the hot rod power tour and needed a bite to eat. I should have gone to the other bbq place down the street.
Supposedly guy fieri recommended pa and ma’s.
