Ordered ahead by phone..waited 20 minutes in the lobby to pick up my order..gave up and left...never got my pizza..ugh..

I waited 45 minutes for a pickup order at Papa John's, only to leave without the pizza ever being made. While waiting, I witnessed several disturbing hygiene practices that raise serious concerns. The problem is that this is not the first time I've witnessed this.

One female employee:
*Lifted her shirt, exposing her midsection and chest, to remove pizza pans from the oven.

*Constantly adjusted her jeans, touching her waistline and skin, then resumed handling food.

*Wiped her hands on the butt of her jeans before and after handling the pizza and other food items.

*Frequently scratched her scalp, face, and nose, and continued food prep with bare hands.

Both she and a male employee handled banana peppers, pizza dough, chicken nuggets, and wings with no gloves.

When pizza pans fell to the floor—some even landing in the trash can—she kicked them aside and later returned them to a rack without washing. I've posted pictures of this below.

After 30 minutes, I asked about my order. The same female employee responded rudely, saying, “It’ll be ready when it’s ready,” and falsely claimed others had been waiting longer. She shouted that DoorDash orders “aren’t important” and told me to cancel it, saying that’s what she tells all DoorDash customers.

When I insisted that DoorDash customers are paying customers too, she walked away. The male employee—who I later found out is a manager—turned to me and started laughing uncontrollably.

After watching multiple customers receive their orders ahead of me, I asked again. She confirmed the name was there but said she didn’t know if or when it would be made. It became clear they had no intention of fulfilling the order. I eventually left, with no pizza.

I called the store afterward and was shocked to learn that the employee who laughed at me is indeed a manager. The person I spoke with apologized, but offered no resolution.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service, and more importantly, unsanitary food handling practices that should be addressed immediately.

Papa John's, although not pizza hut or domino's has the type of pizza you crave when you need savory and sweet. The sweet sauce combined with the bread cheese and toppings does a great pizza make. I love bone in baked chicken wings so what ever you preference let it be known. Papa John's is there to serve you.

Ordered online and showed up 25 minutes later when it was supposed to be ready. An hour and a half later of waiting in a crowded area and watching doordashers getting fresh 7 minute pizzas. I asked for my money back and I was finally presented with the pizza. I ordered an hour and a half earlier. Undercooked. Old and stale. Ignored as a regular customer.

I had my 1st not to bad experience and the manager correct the problem

Called to find out the specials before I ordered and the person that answered said the specials are online and wouldn’t let me know what they were. I know I can look them up, but she could have told me real quick since she was speaking with me. But, I guess I had to hang up and look it up myself. Nah! I got pizza from a competitor instead.

Air bubbles, no sauce, little cheese, little chicken! The manager cut this pizza and boxed it up to give to me, the worst pizza ever!

Only papa johns that delivers to my area. Im a regular and I always tip great. Im not even picky. I never return pizzas that are missing something or complain, but I have had it. Im so sick of these guys being rude on the phone.

Waited an hour for three items. If she had been upfront about the wait I would have canceled. She said it was 30 minutes. The papa John’s app told me my pizza was done 30 minutes before I actually got it.
Y’all are scamming people for the sauce cups. $1 for a half filled oz cup? Bullshit. This place needs to shut down till people are actually trained.
Also, the lady who was the manager kept bashing her newbie coworkers cause they were messing up. Almost like they weren’t trained…? I understand they were swamped but it doesn’t help to get a horrible attitude about it. They can’t afford to fire her, she can tell customers to wait instead of letting them overwhelm her. She had no problem saying stuff to her staff and one customer.

I went to the 55 or 56th Emersonway on Friday had ordered and paid for my pizza download the app was a few minutes late get to the store ask for my pizza this was my second visit to this store ordered online first time had no problem asked for my paid for pizza twice and was told yall didn't want my business and asked to leave and didn't get my pizza yall are dirty cause it takes 5 t 7 days for money to be returned meaning yall would have made me have to let my child go hungry and my food was paid for

The last few times I have ordered pizza from here it has been soggy and sopping in grease as shown in the picture, making it inedible.

Pizza is always ready on time UNLESS you order on a Saturday and then that place is a complete mess.

Had a bad experience last night! Ordered my pizza online just to get there and was told they had to remake my pizza. Waited 10 minutes got home realized they didn’t give me garlic stuff crust. Called the manager explained to her what happened she gave me a free pizza 2 for 1 I can’t complain she’s a great manager.

Friendly staff clean restaurant, the pizza had alot of flavor breadsticks were on point too..
