It's hard to believe that such a unique dining experience exists in Indianapolis. Perrotta's Kitchen is a wonderful event: an intimate venue for socializing with friends, new and old; dining on food that you might find in a Thomas Keller's French Laundry, or a Mosimann's in London, and an experience that could be something that one sees in an article in Gourmet Magazine or Bon Appetite. Chef Gustavo creates extremely delicate sauces that mate perfectly with the dish it accompanies, and his attention to detail is phenomenal. And Katy was exceptional in ensuring that all of the guests' needs ( versus 'wants', Jesus! ) were met. The night we were at Perrotta's Kitchen, we were served Vegetable Crepes and a Salmon Wellington with an asparagus filling, along with a Summer Salad and Crepes Suzettes. The Vegetable Crepes was one of the best appetizers that I have ever experienced. The Wellington was perfect. My wife and I are looking forward to our next dining adventure with Gustavo and Katy at Perrotta's Kitchen.

We know Perrotta's but I want to give Gustavo and his wife my honest opinion and constructive feedback that comes from someone who is very hard to please when it comes to dining experiences, especially in the Midwest. The place where the dinner takes place is in a professional kitchen behind a coffee shop. Tables are commercial preparation tables, which I would love to have in my kitchen. I would bake all day long. The barstools are comfortable but with the tables being much lower, eating becomes somewhat tricky. I was constantly afraid of dropping my food when I tried to put it from the fork into my mouth, leaning my entire chest over the table. It's just a seating position that doesn't work for me. The quality of the food is the best, I have had in a very long time. The temperature of the food should be warmer. Most of it was served warm. I like food to be served hot, especially soups and main dishes. Talking about soups. The "amuse-bouche" was a pumpkin soup with a truffled croutons. Unfortunately it was only an amuse-bouche. The salad with orange filets and goat cheese had a wonderful tasteful vinaigrette. No temperature issues here :-) The main course was a perfectly cooked salmon filet in puff pastry with asparagus and simply delicious. I like salt, actually I love salt, so I added a bit to it. That's personal taste though. We brought 3 bottles of the most amazing white wines (Knoll Riesling Smaragd, Pichler Sauvignon Blanc Smaragd and Nikolaihof Grüner Veltliner Smaragd) from Austria, shipped from NY and they paired perfectly with the entire menu. The Crêpes Suzette had the perfect buttery-orange bitter taste I love so much about this classic dessert. Who else serves Crêpes Suzette in Indiana??? We paired the dessert with an Espresso, since I don't go anywhere without my Nespresso machine. I would give Gustavo and his wife 5 stars if the chairs were lower or the tables higher and the warm dishes hot. Overall, a great dining experience in a great setting with really good food and wonderful people.

Super nice people...and delicious food ! Unfortunately...an emergency text from the GF kiddo...and we had to leave early...but we were able to enjoy the best parts ! An excellent value....I think perhaps a bit under-priced for what you receive. Really more of an experience than a simple meal out.....while the food is terrific...the Perrottas and guests are what makes it a wonderful experience. While chef Gustavo gets all the credit...his charming wife does all of the work ! A lovely and hard working couple who do a remarkable job of catering to their guests. She was a whirlwind of taking away plates, washing up, pouring water...and giving smiles away....combination sous chef, busser, sommelier, server, and water lady. The food is very good, fresh, and approachable. The Perrottas do an excellent job of creating a fun and relaxed ambiance with energetic conviviality. It is also nice that the portions are reasonable in size....and not of Obese Midwestern super sized. Who the hell wants "all you can eat" appetizers ? I don't know if they offer in home cooking services (ala Brad Gates)...but if they do....this would be a super fun and affordable experience for a group of friends..... My GF commented that she would love to have the Perrottas do a dinner for her kiddos and their friends for homecoming, prom, etc. I would have liked to have a bit more information about the food and how it is prepared...more like a cooking lesson...and I think Chef would have offered more....if the darn crowd had yapped a bit less ! I also wish they could somehow partner with Grey Market Wine...or similar.. and offer wines as an option to go along with the courses. However...BYOB makes things much more affordable. The Perrottas do a terrific job....much like Chef JJ.....it is the experience...and the food...that makes for a delightful evening :)

I love Perrotta's Kitchen! I've already been twice and have two more dinners scheduled. Every meal have been unique and delicious. It's more than a great meal. It's an experience. It's nice to interact with everyone else at the supper club and Chef Gustavo. Him and his wife Katy are so friendly and accommodating. Indy doesn't have many cool foodie events like this, so I'm not surprised by it's growing popularity. I would recommend this experience to anyone!

The 4 stars are for the total idea of this Biz. No, I haven't tried yet, but I'm excited! This is just the kind of place I'm looking for, -chef, cooking live, open for questions and interactions, tasting, learning new things, and perfecting some of my favorites! I'm signing up, can't wait, Thanks Heather!

I have been following the progression of Perrottas Kitchen since first hearing about them through Indy's Kitchen. I was lucky enough to get to be a part of their most recent kitchen event on October 19th and I left happy and satisfied. The laid back and informative evening was exactly what I needed. Getting to be right in the heart of it all- the cooking in the kitchen, sharing a glass of wine and tasting our way through his menu was the perfect night out for this Foodie! Oh, and the food was top notch too! I will be craving his light and creamy pasta for weeks....
