We went to Petros to buy a holiday gift card. We decided to stay for lunch. My wife had eaten there before, and got her favorite lunch special, the Shawma sandwich. I ordered the Lamb Gyro. It was the biggest(thickest) gyro that I've ever had. We chose the Greek salad as our side.
This is an authentic Greek restaurant.

Absolutely amazing food and experience. The owner came to our table many times to check on us. He was very entertaining and explained to us some of the histories of the different foods, greek culture and he even cooked side items especially for my daughter and I to try that were not on menu. This is true gem in Carmel downtown which is very convenient for us vs driving to Indy. Also try the desserts - the owner's wife hand makes them all and she is very precise on each type and has the flavors just right - WOW. We have already planned to go back weekly to keep trying dishes.

It’s a very esthetically pleasing restaurant! Moussaka was very delicious! We also ordered pita wrap with shrimp and it was so tasty. Lemon chicken soup was very nourishing and the lemon flavor was very light. Calamari were just right! So happy we stopped there! And the service was prompt and polite!

This was my first experience at a Greek restaurant, and it was absolutely spectacular! The food was delicious!! I tried both mussels and lamb chops for the first time, and they were so good I truly can’t imagine anywhere else could be better! They have set an impossibly high standard for my future Greek dining. Highly recommended!

The food was so flavorful we could hardly put our forks down. Service was entertaining and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxed and charming.
Our food experience was quite well rounded as far as the menu goes, as we ordered quite a few options. Everything was of superior quality. Some highlights of the evening were the flaming cheese appetizer, table pita wedges, as well as the Petos Platter consisting of mouthwatering dips, beets, sliced veggies, and stuffed grape leaves Regarding the leaves, this is the first time I’ve had them and not found them to be too bitter. Our mains were generous in proportion, and perfectly seasoned. As for the desserts, I am still thinking of the baklava this afternoon, as well as the Sachertort cake. I feel as if would be doing a disservice to this restaurant if I didn’t add that it is obvious that the owners take great pride in the food and service that comes from this establishment. So much that she even came out from the kitchen to our table just make sure our meal was being enjoyed. She went above and beyond, making sure we took home our leftovers to be enjoyed the next day. Even providing heating tips and a cloth bag. Can’t wait to go back!

Kosta and all the employees are great. Dinner was awesome and so was the portions.
If you're disappointed with other restaurant experiences, visit Petos. The staff were pleasant, swift, and attentative, from when we entered to when we left.
While the inside of the restaurant was a bit noisey, it was clearly due to everyone enjoying themselves and their meals. The gentleman who I can only assume was the owner, stopped by active tables to see how everyone was enjoying their meal, sharing a joke or two, before moving on. The experience felt very much like being invited to someone's family dinner, not just another generic restaurant.
We did not delve deep into the menu, but the souvlaki was great, with the chicken and lamb cooked to perfection.
While we're always a fan of baklava, we can't suggest the galaktoboureko enough. (Even though we're not great at pronouncing it) This has easily become a favorite dessert.
We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Food was absolutely delicious but no gluten free menu or an allergy menu at all, host and waitress were not educated on allergens, no labeling on their menu, minimal description of food
