I work nearby and some days I have time to enjoy my lunch outside when the sun is shining. Some of my favorites are the yellow curry (mild) , the crispy chicken, pad Thai fried rice (mild ), the ginger soup that comes with lunch special is yummy too and the wontons. I’ve also tried the glass noodles they weren’t bad, very thin. Service is always good. The Food is ALWAYS GREAT.

April 2024: My husband and I have been coming to Phaya to eat since they opened many years ago. I remember the first thing I ever ordered was a papaya (OR WAS IT MANGO) salad. Since then we have our favorite table where we try to sit as often as possible. It is always wonderful to see the owners and their kiddos working the restaurant. The wait-staff is in the realm of award-winning. In all the years we have been coming here to eat the food was always so delicious and the service exceptional. This place is the winner of my favorite, handsdown, place to eat in Lawrence, Indiana. Nothing on the menu is anything short of miraculously delicious. Bring a dart and throw it at the menu, it will be delicious, whatever it lands on. It will be brought to you by a truly caring and kind individual and it will be reasonably priced. The quality is something that all restaurants should strive for. They have a new menu recently as well with tons of vegetarian options too. If you like noodles the pad se ewe is exceptional. if you want a light lunch get salad rolls ( that peanut pause is to die for) and a cup of lemongrass soup. My husband is just about addicted to the fried chicken curry and the sticky rice is such a lovely treat! In my opinion, this is what a small family restaurant should strive to be. We are so so lucky that this place is in our neighborhood.---Original Review: Hands down amazing. Pad Se Ewe is the best thing I ever put in my face!

They have the best pad thai ever! It's delicious, even when you bring the leftover home and reheat it! You get big portions and prices are good. Service is always friendly.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Indianapolis.Best restaurant in general for all of Indianapolis. The food is delicious, the employees are top notch, and pretty fast. They have some of the best main dishes such as Pad Thai, Crispy Chicken, and not to forget the crab Rangoon is out of this world. (Real crab meat and the best homemade sweet and sour dipping sauce.)I hope this helps someone searching for a new go to food experience.

This is one of my favorite Thai places. The food is very authentic, it’s really nice quality, the taste is always incredible, and the staff is very nice. I’ve had a few mixups here and there with the cook adding too much spice, but I’ve never had a bad experience. Even when the meal has been too spicy for my liking it’s always still tasted amazing. 10/10 recommend.

Some of the best Thai in the city. Staff were very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for anything, besides a table. Definitely an east side gem.

lilleep

I bought the pepper steak and drunken noodles with pork med spicey. Noodles were pretty good and med spicey is pretty spicey. The pepper steak was good but I was disappointed that it was basically 20$ for a small container of rice, and an equally small container of pepper steak. I really felt like they gave me the wrong size lol. Id get the noodles again but There’s no justification for the pepper steak quantity

The food is delicious and well presented. The heat on each dish is exactly as you request. Spicy does mean hot here. Thai hot reminds you that you are alive and silliness has consequences. LOLMenu is extensive. It is a nice, cozy, and quiet, interior. Not overly bright or dark. The staff is warm and friendly.Musical swings are right next door. Nice date spot.We visit every couple weeks.
