Portofino offers a delightful dining experience, focusing on exceptional service and flavorful dishes. The menu features a range of options, including the Steamed Mussels and Primi Pasta with Wild Boar, portobella mushrooms, and a savory sauce. The restaurant's Osso Busco over Risotto is also a standout. With only about 12 tables, the space is very intimate, encouraging guests to enjoy a relaxed, slow meal. It is recommended to make reservations due to its small size. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it ideal for special occasions or casual dining. Chef Dan personally checks on guests and shares stories, adding a special touch to the experience. The food is homemade and delicious, with fresh, tender mussels and hearty pasta dishes. While most dishes shine, some, like the Quattro Formagio, may feel under seasoned, and Osso Buco can be tough if not cooked perfectly. The wine list is outstanding, though a few more options in the $35–$40 range would be appreciated. Overall, Portofino is a place to savor good food in a quiet, personal atmosphere, perfect for those looking for a memorable dining experience.
