Portofino delivered an outstanding experience. We had been wanting to visit for a while, and it did not disappoint. The chef personally came out to check on us — a fantastic touch that showed real care. Our food was top-notch. We had a date night last weekend and had a pretty nice time. The deconstructed caesar salad was less than ideal. The flavors were awesome, but pulling it all together yourself was awkward. The wine and cocktails we had were phenomenal. We had the italian donuts for dessert (never again). Why they took over 20 minutes to arrive is beyond me, but they arrived underdone and doughy. We had a great time, but might not be returning for awhile.
Chef Dan and his staff went above and beyond for my family tonight. Not only was the food amazing (my husband threatened to lick the plates clean) but they were exceptionally nice and welcoming. When we told them we were bringing our 11 year old who loves to cook, they greeted us right away and ushered him into the kitchen to see how it all works.
