Came in for a scotch with some fish and chips. The fish batter was addictingly good and the fish was pretty huge compared to others. The price was way lower than i was expecting and the service was quick and friendly. Think I found my favorite place for fishn’chips.
I can't really say much about the atmosphere but it's a bar so I'm sure it's pretty positive. But the reason I'm leaving this review is specifically because of the burger I just ordered. It is by far the best burger I've ever had in my 37 years of life. If you want a burger go for the Big Ben. I took the onion rings and the chili off of mine, and it was still the most satisfying Burger I've ever eaten in my life.
We had a great experience at this cozy bar/restaurant serving tasty English comfort food. We tried the Scotch eggs, fried pickles, and shepherd's pie — all were delicious and satisfying. The flavors were spot-on, especially the perfectly seasoned shepherd's pie, very cheesy. The beers were fresh and cold, with a good local selection on tap.
